Sebarial is my favorite character to date in the Cosmere. I think that he is a likely candidate for Radiance, though I've heard the idea posited that it could be Palona, as well. This could be intriguing because of her being a darkeyes, and I think it could have some interesting story-driving potential... For instance, Dalinar spends a book trying to prove that Sebarial is a KR, but in the end it turns out to be Palona instead.

Also, the Night Watcher is called a spren at some point, but we know that it is a manifestation of Cultivation, not of Honor. Still I really like where this theory is going, it leads to some interesting avenues of speculation.

My understanding is that Brandon is going to try to come back in May. -
Thoughts on Sixth of the Dusk

I feel like the reassembly of Adonalsium will be a big enough event that it would be more likely to be in the Cosmere finale series, which I think I currently understand to be Dragonsteel. -
17th Shard Ball

I haven't given up on having an East Coast party sometime this year, but I'm excited about a bigger ShardCon down the road, too, wherever it may be held. I started a separate thread for such a thing. -
Let's make it happen, and soon. Here's a good place to discuss it.

I say Mike Neuman (who voiced the character Scooter in the Borderlands series) should play Cody. Are there any vaugely-French actors out there other than Jean Reno for Abraham? I feel like he's a little bit too old, but perhaps he could do it. http://youtu.be/Yr-7_602kP8?t=2m33s

Cosmere MBTI
AndrewStirlingMacDonald replied to AndrewStirlingMacDonald's topic in General Brandon Discussion
kari and maxal, I've really appreciated the discussion you've been having about Shallan. The INTJ-when-she's-around-Jasnah thing is actually something that I take as an indication of her being an INFJ - it is a pretty common INFJ trait to take on the qualities and emotions of the people around them, reflecting their feelings back towards them.- 131 replies

Brandon said they would reschedule if they could, and I really hope that they do. My wife and I are thinking of driving all the way up to Boston tomorrow, but Peter says that the weather conditions there are making that one iffy as well. -

Personally I like ShardCon better, but as long as it happens I won't really mind what it is called. -

Rubix, is there, like, a team I could be party of, to help make it happen? -
I took the middle one (Newton). Thank you for posting this, it's really cool! EDIT: Oh, I just saw that you called dibs on Newton, Cheese United. I'm sorry, didn't mean to step on any toes here 2nd EDIT: Oh, I see, the files have already been downloaded. This is the first time I've done one of these, and I wasn't exactly sure how they worked.

17th Shard Ball
AndrewStirlingMacDonald replied to AndrewStirlingMacDonald's topic in Events and Signings
I realize that we have a ton of Utah/Washington people here in the ol' 17th, but they do already get some cool events for the BYU release parties and whatnot... I'm wondering if we have enough East Coasters to put together some kind of a shindig here. EDIT: also, Argent, I'm hoping to come out to GenCon this year... Maybe we can have a 17th Shard dinner someplace in Indy one night? -
So I've been thinking it would be really cool to have a big Cosmere-related gathering sometime. I'd love to have a big party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Elantris, someplace nice, where we of the Seventeenth can meet up, eat some Cosmere-themed dishes, show off our costumes, discuss theories, stage dramatic readings of Cosmere works, etc. So, is there interest in doing this from people, and if so, where? I personally would love to see this happen on the East Coast somewhere, since I live in Allentown and SLC is not exactly in driving distance for me. But if we had an event like this in somewhere like NYC or Philly, or even further out, in Baltimore or DC or Boston, I would be really excited. So let's sound off! Would anyone be interested in something like this, and if so, where are you located (and how far would you be willing or able to travel)?

So, has there been any talk of a Cosmere meetup somewhere on the East Coast? Philly, DC, New York, something like that. It would be really cool to have an event, maybe for the 10th anniversary of Elantris in April, or if that is too soon to plan, for the release of Bands of Mourning in the fall. -

Maybe while we're there a freak snowstorm will blow in and we'll all be trapped in the bookstore with Brandon for three days and he'll reveal all of the secrets of the Cosmere to us and we'll all become best friends and he'll write us all into Dragonsteel. You wouldn't want to miss THAT, Shaggai, would you? -

Well, you made my day with this post, ccstat. Great costume, great picture, great information, both Cosmere and real-life. I wonder if Brandon finds himself looking up and smiling for a photo IRL whenever he overhears someone count to three. -
Does anyone know if there has been a WOB about the Epic who keeps the soda bottling plant in Charlotte running? We know that they produce Cola and Orange Soda, and that it comes from Charlotte, but I'm curious if we know any more about that situation. Some speculation: most of the south is controlled by the Coven, a group of six epics, so there is a good chance that Charlotte could fall under their purview... . Further speculation I've heard is that the leader of The Coven might be the infamous Night's Sorrow... So, any leads? Anyone heard any WOB's about Charlotte in particular, the Coven or Night's Sorrow in general?

Hey, I'm trying to throw together a little cosplay piece for the Philly signing on Tuesday (my wife and I are going as Prof and Tia), and I'm wondering if anyone there would be willing to ask Brandon about the Epic in Charlotte who keeps the soda bottling machinery running. The Epic's name, maybe, and whether they are a member of the Coven? It would be greatly appreciated! I'm making a cola pouch... -
Knighthawk Foundry, the company that makes the mobiles, seems very mysterious. I'll bet that they are behind some of the other strange tech that we see.

Also, was it news to anyone else that FOX had officially optioned Steelheart, with a producer attached and everything? Apparently it was finalized on Friday, and the producer is the guy who produced the "Night at the Museum" series.
