  1. I think the Honorblades aren't sentient because they're solid, and solid Investiture is more stable (see also: atium). My gut feeling is that only "raw" Investiture can become sentient, and the Honorblades were made for a specific purpose.
  2. Or Iron Men. Or people from my red-and-gold college. (Popular color combo, ain't it?)

    Classic Trell

I keep getting hung up on the star maps. Trellism (sp?) was the religion that made the star maps that allowed Sazed to put the planet back in its right orbit. Could it be a coincidence that the most crucial part in the restoration was provided by the same storming god? Do we see Sazed rejecting Trellism? What grounds does he use?

  16. I'm taking a General Psychology class in college, and one of the readings we've done was about learned helplessness. I looked at it and thought KALADIN. Seriously, almost every aspect fit. The theory is, people are more likely to be depressed/apathetic if they're deprived of control over their life, especially for long periods of time, which... yeah. Jeez, Brandon, are you a psychologist? Because you write psychologically-accurate reactions like WOW.
  17. Yes. (Finally.)
  18. It's a podcast.
  19. Small town resists gentrification as large corporation with strong religious ties buys up popular community landmarks. One such acquisition is an orange farm. Said corporation has already taken over a nearby town, seen as rivals by the first. The signature color of the corporation is complementary to that of the town, though they sure don't see it that way. The protagonist works at the local radio station.
  20. The Three Little Pigs.
  21. I always find it amusing that I read Mistborn, Elantris, Way of Kings, and was halfway through Words of Radiance when Hoid said his thing about perfect pitch. Now, I'd read the first chapter of Warbreaker in the back of one of the Mistborn books, and I recognized it. So, as I was reading WoR on my Kindle, I stopped in the middle, downloaded Warbreaker, read it, then went back to WoR. And was very glad of it when I finished.
