  1. But if ettmetal is harmonium then I do not understand why Harmony let the southerners freeze for like 10 years. Also if harmonium was used for the southerners then that means that Harmony is the one who sent Kelsier (or someone who looked like him) to them.
  2. Have we seen any world-hoppers on non-shard worlds? I can't remember.
  3. I thought we were not supposed to know if Hoid used the Lerasium bead as of yet? Don't remember if it is a WoB I read or just a post here or something but isn't it believed that the letter refers to him keeping the bead safe (ie not using it)?
  4. For the earring, I don't see it that way myself. I mean it is possible that Kelsier is back in the cognitive realm (he seems to have gone somewhere) but Wax was the one trying to convince himself not to put in the earring. He didn't trust Harmony and didn't want to speak to him. I also don't see Sazed really minding that Keliser is still around or that he is trying to return to the physical realm. Yes, he was dangerous when he was alive but he has really changed and Sazed would know him better than anyone now.
  5. Yeah. It may have something to do with rotation of the planet because it was said that bendalloy bubbles move with you if you are on very large objects (ie the planet). But you would think that would mean that the refraction would be something that is fairly easy to understand but from how it is described, it seems more random.
  6. Meaning that he is back in the Cognitive Realm and trying to influence him?
  7. Or Wayne himself. Yeah. I expect that Mistborn and Elantris are the two series that kind of have to evolve into more cosmere aware series soon. Stormlight seems like it will be the location of one of the final battles involving shards. The problem is, we can only go so far into the cosmere itself before we need to know why all this is happening and have to go back to the beginning. That isn't something that is planned to happen very soon.
  8. Sorry meant preserves or destroys. I don't really see there being much more than 16 base metals because we already know relatively little about many of the feruchemical properties of metals and we know next to nothing about hemalurgy I think if there is a lost metal, that is must be a god metal.
  9. I still don't understand why Sazed left them there to freeze but gave everyone else the cushy Basin to live in. Maybe he copied TLR's plan of a backup but I find it unlikely.
  10. I can actually see him doing that. Not taking the power himself but tricking someone else into doing it. I didn't think about Sazed. Good point.
  11. Yes but there is a shardholder on Yolen? Without one I assume no shardpool would regenerate which is why travel to Sel is difficult.
  12. Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. But Hoid doesn't seem interested in holding the shards to me. I mean he could certainly have gotten to at least Preservation with his sense of timing. Maybe he doesn't want a bigger target on his back just yet though. I'm not sure about that. I mean if Harmony can form then what would happen if someone got all 16 shards? Would that be the same power as Adonalsium? Meaning he created it or just that he is the leader? While I suspect Kelsier left to find something to do after being 'The Sovereign,' I find it unlikely that the 17th Shard is only ~350 years old. Not saying he isn't involved in it though.
  13. But if Hoid wanted to bring back Adonalsium then wouldn't he actively try to bring about the end of planets that were formed by Shards? So far he seems to be doing the opposite? That may just be to ensure he has help to oppose Odium but the connections really aren't there for that.
  14. Wouldn't preventing world-hopping be essentially the same thing as hiding the planet though? You could visit the cognitive aspect of the planet but not have any effect (most likely) on the inhabitants. The only way to physically change planets that we know right now of is world-hopping. I guess the question is, what is the planet hidden from? World-hoppers or the shards? Hoid was angry that Kelsier destroyed the Pits of Hathsin because it made it harder to travel to Scadrial. I think by destroying the shardpools on a planet, you remove the ability to jump from the Cognitive Realm to the Physical. Could hiding the planet be as simple as that?
  15. Well Kelsier couldn't use allomancy either so I agree they may not be able to use AonDor in the cognitive realm. This would also point to them having been there for a long time because they didn't do so reflexively by accident. That does make me wonder why they would need to drink that liquid if not to give them access to AonDor. Is it to remain in the cognitive realm?
  16. If 'The Sovereign' had the Bands of Morning at that time then he would have been a full Allomancer and Feruchemist, no? Why would he need a spike at all if not to somehow connect to Kelsier. If it was Marsh then he would not need the full set of both powers unless he was going to remove his spikes (which he seems to have not done), If it was Spook then he would have only needed Feruchemy. Depending on the method of Kelsier's return to the physical realm, he may have been without the Metallic Arts. The Bands may have been created to allow him access to these powers again.
  17. It may be that in the end, the best thing for the Cosmere is the shattering of all shards but it seem to me that there is an enemy that is greater in power than any shard and may require someone taking up Adonalsium 's full power if that is possible. Would Ati have a connection to Ruin? I know Ruin itself wasn't technically evil but even so, it would have been hard to justify how to use it for a good purpose.
  18. I think that "The Sovereign" would have been purposely sent by Harmony though. He wouldn't just let the southerners die and without help they were going to. Also, compounded gold may make you effectively immortal but it does so by not letting you die. You don't die and then be brought back. You heal so rapidly that anything that should kill you does not have time to do so. If anyone can figure a way out it would be Kelsier. He was starting to understand Shadesmar after a few years. Give him a few hundred and he can probably figure out anything. Also, he can travel to other worlds so that might be useful for new knowledge and power.
  19. But to me it seemed like TLR left them alone and then he died. It was only when Harmony changed the world that they were really affected. Also Allik said it was 330 years ago when The Sovereign came to help them. That is about 10 years after the Hero of Ages.
  20. That might make sense because it neither creates or destroys. It uses an allomancer or feruchemist's own reserves to transfer some of their power for a time. That seems harmonious to me.
  21. Yeah. It seemed to focus on the scars pretty heavily. It kind of has been pushed on us through the Survivorist church that Kelsier was not truly dead and would come back if and when needed. I suppose that could have all been to distract us but it seemed to be him. Also, whoever made the Bands of Morning was not only mistborn but also a feruchemist, no? Marasi tapped speed. Another thing that confuses me: Allik says 330 years ago this happened. AoL is 341 years after HoA (BoM ~18 months later). That ten year gap though, is it exact? I think if it was Kelsier (Perhaps even if it were someone else) he would have been sent by Harmony to help people from outside the Basin and 10 years is a long time to wait for that unless it took that long for them to succumb to the changes to their world. I don't think the memory was necessarily taken by Hoid directly from The Sovereign. He probably stored memories purposefully for people to see. There may even be more of those medallions with memories in them but Hoid chose that one specifically for Wax.
  22. Well it seems to me that even refounding the Knights Radiant may not be enough to stop Odium. That seems to be the reason that Hoid is becoming so much more involved on Roshar and why it is likely that he will be a cosmere wide villain. It may therefore take joining with Scadrial in its space age and even oither worlds to defeat him. I wondered then if the 17th Shard was this joining of worlds but it would have had to happen between HoA and AoL because Demoux is involved (closer to HoA obviously). Would that mean Harmony is also involved? Does the 17th Shard have Shardholders as members (or more likely leaders) or is their involvement more abstract? To me the 17th Shard's non-interference policy seems to say that Harmony was involved in the founding. I was under the impresion that the 'God Beyond' was not another power in the universe but Adonalsium itself. Could be wrong.
  23. From the wiki page it says "Then at the end of the book, Wit also figures out how to revive someone from the end, presumably using Shadesmar, or the cognitive realm of Roshar." Does this come from something? Does it refer to Hoid reviving Jasnah? From what I saw at the end of the novel, Jasnah never died. She transported herself to Shadesmar and was then able to leave at the end of the novel. What I saw was Hoid displaying his uncanny sense to arrive at exactly the place he needs to be at the right time not magically resurrecting somebody.
  24. Seems like the only feruchemical power that I could see doing that is being a Spinner. Using Chromium he could store fortune but as he does not appear to be very unlucky when we see him it is possible he is a twinborn (or even has all fereuchemical and allomantic powers).
