  1. Look on the bright side: Funtimes hasn't met Möbius, has no reason to seek her out, and is still rather cheerful and willing to look at the sunny side of life.
  2. That ship will become even more terrifying when I reveal Koschei's cutie mark...
  3. Don't let any humans near Calamityville while Koschei is there. And whatever you do, don't introduce him to Slaughterhouse....or at the very least, pray they don't get along.
  4. Mare can go. I won't be able to post in game for another few hours.
  5. Chicago Joe is too close phonetically to Cotton-Eyed Joe for Funtimes NOT to sing it every time he's near.
  6. Wearing the traditional pink sombrero? Edit: I'm starting to think this floating fortress thing should happen. Imagine the cool aerial battles it could have with the MoNA!
  7. Is Altermind ready to ask nicely and do the "Help Me Pretty Please" Dance?
  8. New cannon fodder...or new OP Epic? I could go either way o this one. Yes. Yes they do. No, I don't. They're all wonderful!
  9. It wasn't Lucentia's words that made Nathan want to strike her. It was the way she clearly lost interest when anyone else spoke, the nearly imperceptible roll of her eyes, the way she insulted those whose home she had invaded and demanded favors after attempting to murder them--and over what? A dress made from sandwiches. Even for an Epic, that was low. And there was no pleasing her. Her demands had confirmed as much. Lucentia was the sort of Epic who refused to be made happy, and blamed others for her unhappiness. Epics who killed unjustly were one thing. Epics who killed unjustly and said, "Now look what they made me do" were quite another. And Nathan didn't have to smile at this one. "Pfft!" Funtimes then burst into laughter. "You know how fast my boyfriend can go, right?" Her laughter calmed him, allowed him to gather his thoughts. Lucentia demanded to be taken seriously, but Funtimes wouldn't give her the satisfaction. "I've traveled two thousand miles in less than a second. I can outrun your diamonds, as you've seen. If you yourself know us to be untrustworthy, which we are, then what in Calamity would make you think we would do what you ask?" He crushed a praline beneath his shoe, not to impress or intimidate her, but because crushing it felt good. "You have given us no reason to do what you ask, Lucentia. We offered our help because you are a powerful ally and we share a mutual dislike of your two-faced brother, but now the only thing I can think to do is take our property and abandon you here before retrieving your brother and taking him to a place you will never find him." He looked down at Funtimes again, then back at Lucentia. "Leave us alone. Walk away, continue on your way to Portland, and we will ignore you from this point forward. We will fix our cottage and pretend this never happened, and we won't interfere with your pursuit of revenge. Continue to make demands, or make another attempt on our lives, and you will never see Nighthound again." ----------------------------------------- "Not--you slontze!" Scorch stomped on Mundivore's foot, forgetting the pain in his own just long enough to make the mistake. The blow sent pain shooting through his foot and sent hi hopping up and down, clutching his foot as he swore. As luck would have it, Mundivore seemed unaffected by the attack. Scorch's scowl deepened. "Stupid storming invulnerability," he muttered.
  10. Cat Lady: She can fill anyone with the irresistible desire to buy a million cats, move to a crummy apartment, and spend the remainder of their days eating ice cream while watching soap operas. Yeah, I can't say I've ever met a Stalkerface McCreeperton like Nighthound, aside from the guys who leer at me in Walmart. But those are few and far between. Lucentias are distressingly common.
  11. I know this is weird and maybe a little ridiculous, but let's just say her snobbishness, entitlement complex, and perpetual victim attitude bring up some bad memories. It's totally fine, so long as she gets a brutal comeuppance, like dying ugly and alone. Or if she meets with Altermind and he recognizes her for the bully she is and acts accordingly, that's fine too. Does he have Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" as his theme song? (And Lucentia being the way she is is fine. Seriously. The movie Mean Girls is chock full of Lucentias, and I adore it.)
  12. U R UNTRUSTWORTHY SO U SHOULD DO MY STUFF 4 MEH I H8 U SO U SHOULD LYK MEH I CAN DO IT MYSELF BUT I WANT U 2 DO IT CUZ U SUK IM SO PURDY + IMMA EAT ALL UR PRALINES B4 I INSULT U LUV MEH CUZ U SUK How's my Lucentia impression?
  13. Oh, so if Lightwards was raising the Warrior specifically to attack Murphy, the Warrior would retain control of his/her faculties and, I don't know, slap Lightwards across the face or something? But if he was just raising the Warrior because he wanted another Warrior, something random would happen, like a bird swoops down and steals Lightwards' toupee? (C'mon, Kobold, we all know he wears one. And its days are numbered…..)
  14. I don't. I know he had some human soldiers he recruited, so I think it's pretty strict.
  15. Phew. I avoided posting here to keep from having to give daunting statistics about the Great Depression, but now it's 1941. Poland and Czechoslovakia have been invaded several years prior, Great Britain has entered the war by this point, and at the end of the year, Pearl Harbor will be bombed. It's not much happier than the Great Depression, but it did give the Greatest Generation their name—and with good reason. And we salute you.
  16. I found fan art of Lucentia. Her subjects speak out.
  17. But that would be the best possible thing for the raptors. Does the field take their opinion into account?
  18. Whatever will make her less murderous. Not nice, since I don't believe that's possible, but less murderous would be nice.
  19. Either one. It doesn't matter to me.
  20. Well, he was opening up cracks in the sidewalk and broke CorpseMaker's table without trying, so that raises some questions. It was a different one. He snagged one before Lucentia tasted them and took a bite, holding onto the rest of it. I had assumed the praline she spiked shattered.
  21. AGH! See, naysayers? Other people find it annoying, too! I'm sorry. I hope they start leaving you alone before too long.
  22. She should have taken Funtimes' remark about her shiny arm for the compliment it was. Funtimes saying "Your arm is made of shiny" is tantamount to anyone else saying "If the office of the Vatican was filled by popular vote and I weren't Protestant, you'd have my vote for Pope even if you weren't running." Edit: It just occurred to me—what would happen if Murphy was around when Lightwards tried to raise a Warrior? Would Lightwards simply fail, or would the person he raised retain some measure of their humanity? If anything that can go wrong, will, what is the worst possible thing that could happen when Lightwards raises someone—failure, or lack of control? Edit to the edit: Or would lack of control on Lightwards' part be the best possible thing that could happen to whoever he was trying to raise? Would Murphy's Murphionic field only affect Lightwards, or would it also affect the person he was trying to raise? I mean, the best possible thing for Lightwards would be having a new Warrior, but the worst possible thing for the person would be being a Warrior. So would the field completely cancel his powers, resulting in the second worst possible thing for both of them (the person stays dead) or would the field seek out the most powerful target (which is, in this case, the Epic)?
  23. Which only shows Lucentia's shortsightedness. With her shiny arm and ability to make shinies rise out of the ground, form fantastic shapes—to literally make an ocean of shiny—she could set up quite the empire of six-year-old girls.
  24. Panacea wouldn't fix Mare's hair without permission. She would if she thought it would work, but too often people take her corrections as an excuse to stubbornly muss their appearances further (i.e., straightening someone's collar might lead to them putting it up and leaving it that way). Healing isn't crossing a boundary to her; it's essential to restoring natural beauty. Fixing someone's hair without permission is crossing a boundary in her book.
  25. Blargh. Sorry about that; wrote it late at night. Is the mare still around, or did it vanish? And next time, just let me know beforehand and I'll edit my post accordingly so there won't need to be any more backtracking than necessary.
