  1. I think I'll retroactively chalk the Leonardo Momento Magico to this, it's thematically appropriate anyway and I got it close enough
  2. My graduation was pushed back because of RL stuff and then another year because of the COVID pandemic but I officially graduated today! I am now a Master of Philosophy
  3. Thanks, both of you :'D
  4. I don't know why. It's easy enough to think you've moved on and then something catches you right where it hurts and the pain is still there, still fresh as the day it first happened. Was listening to YouTube and getting work done this weekend when a song I'd never heard before came on shuffle and it dragged me back to the day I realised my ex ghosted me and left and then the pain comes flooding back again as if it's not been over a year.
  5. Sleep, my darkened chapel
Let me kneel before you now, as then
    Unworthy as I am
    Sleep, my flameless shadow
Let me cool the lingering fires of old
And carry only ashes in my soul

  6. Cycle Two: 9th Doxil, 237 TJ was elected to the Inner Council! He was aligned with the Workers! Tani has been elected Worker Leader! The cycle has begun, and will end at 2300hrs (GMT+8) on Tuesday, 29th June! Note that the votes for each candidate are given in spreadsheet order. Edited to reflect: My thanks to @|TJ|, @Archer, @Biplet, @Devotary of Spontaneity, @Fifth Scholar and @Wyrmhero for submissions. Except Wyrm. Not you >>
  7. Hi all, Reminder you have just shy of two hours to get those votes and orders in. So your real weakness is stairs. Well, now I know, foul creature of lies and betrayal >> @Matrim's Dice I would like to give you one but I don't have spreadsheet access and you caught me mid-shower (don't you bloody dare @ me Wyrm it was a work message first) so I will get back to you on this but encourage self-service from the last vote count I posted.
  8. One more pre-emptive reminder: Nothing has yet happened though one player caught themselves in time and swapped to private channels. I know I'm dead in LG78, and I know trash-talking with me has become a SE tradition for some players but please be reminded your IM is still alive in that game and is in your GM PMs. Please do not talk to me in your GM PMs about LG78. Thank you.
  9. Unfortunately, my policy is not to modify the rules of a game for reasons that not involve breaks or balance, especially not this early. Given I don't even know if the Election mechanic is stable with Avalon roles, I'm also hesitant to allow further mechanics to be introduced in this iteration. Reminder: You all have somewhat under nineteen-and-a-half hours to get your votes in (orders, if you're Evil.) Rollover will be at 2300hrs SGT, GMT+8 today (well, technically my today.)
  10. Sir, I think this means you need to get a personality >> I also played Teutons fewer times than you sent me Teuton emojis: Let's just be clear who is the Teutons fanboy here >> It is objectively insulting you call Teutons boring and @ me for it when you were busy marketing your orc civs to me, and also forced me to use more micro than I've ever had in my life just running from onager shots. It's no wonder I passed out from sheer exhaustion, wrangling you is too much wyrk >> I know I was Beedle in LG78 but I can't actually send each elected a wonton/wantan despite my homemade wantan bringing the girls to my yard, FYI
  11. So, just woke up and had food but it's been a tiring week running on two hours of sleep for me so I feel I'm excused Mfw I wake up and check the thread (thanks Wyrm!) Anyway: They'll find out basically the same time everyone else does. There's no existing vote manip in this game so when the voting tallies are shown and they're not Worker Leader, it'll be obvious then. Flavour-wise, they don't get extorted into rejecting until they're about to accept the position. I could send them a courtesy PM letting them know at rollover but I'm low-effort this game and it's redundant anyway so eh I'm GMing this and even I'm confused now Yes. ITT: Kas go to sleep Also this thread when the GM isn't answering their questions: See y'all I need a shower
  12. They can't contact their team until/unless we go to that General Meeting (read: Assassination) cycle. What happens for that cycle is that it's more or less a complete refresh: all Elected players are allowed back into the thread alongside the remaining players, and both teams are allowed to confer with each other in-thread. Only Elims can vote in that cycle and if the Tineye is assassinated (via a simple majority vote), they win. Otherwise, for most of the game, Elected stay strictly separate from the other players. Basically it's just a reminder to players that unlike usual SE games where the dead are generally done, your involvement technically does not end even after you wind up in the Elected doc.
  13. It's wet and light, and I prefer piston to c/c (narrowly), so very happy Though of course, I got a Broad nib... Thanks! It's basically become my dedicated Gion pen for the moment
  14. *smirks in dynamic infodump exit* Obviously can't confirm or deny this but I will remind players that this current game is a fusion of the MR38 election system and QF40 ruleset, so it is not guaranteed to function as the predecessors do - or more importantly, as a standard SE game does. Please also be reminded that both Elected Villagers and Elims will share a doc so do be careful about what information you share even after Election. True mindgames never end.
  15. It's their funeral. I'm a GM, not a babysitter Less snarkastically, this game is built on manipulation and deception, and Avalon games often go wild with mass roleclaiming. I'm reluctant to intervene in any way that will allow players to draw inferences, so I will be hands-off. I'm not averse to calling the game if it is very clearly won by the Elims, but I'm just going to be upfront that my bar for that would be quite high given how many mindgames this format allows.
