  1. That was me, as well as Paladin, Ironmonger, Guardian, and Ranger. I've been extremely busy and only getting busier, so I put them on hiatus. Ostensibly, Team Paladin is scouting out The Dalles, but Arvin and the dragon are a bit of a plot hole.
  2. Hmm, my thoughts on that are that Rey is shown on-screen as being quite speed in close combat with a quarterstaff. And Kylo is not exceptionally skilled with a lightsaber. That was enough for me. The rest of her force abilities could be sufficiently explained by imitation of what she sees Kylo doing. For me, at least.

  5. From the d20 SRD, which is the online free version of D&D 3.5: "Good characters and creatures protect innocent life. Evil characters and creatures debase or destroy innocent life, whether for fun or profit. "Good" implies altruism, respect for life, and a concern for the dignity of sentient beings. Good characters make personal sacrifices to help others. "Evil" implies hurting, oppressing, and killing others. Some evil creatures simply have no compassion for others and kill without qualms if doing so is convenient. Others actively pursue evil, killing for sport or out of duty to some evil deity or master. People who are neutral with respect to good and evil have compunctions against killing the innocent but lack the commitment to make sacrifices to protect or help others. Neutral people are committed to others by personal relationships. Being good or evil can be a conscious choice. For most people, though, being good or evil is an attitude that one recognizes but does not choose. Being neutral on the good-evil axis usually represents a lack of commitment one way or the other, but for some it represents a positive commitment to a balanced view. While acknowledging that good and evil are objective states, not just opinions, these folk maintain that a balance between the two is the proper place for people, or at least for them. Animals and other creatures incapable of moral action are neutral rather than good or evil. Even deadly vipers and tigers that eat people are neutral because they lack the capacity for morally right or wrong behavior."
  6. I'm lawful good. Probably not very far across the line from neutral good, but definitely lawful. And Miles was never good.
  7. He's around so far only because I was bleary-eyed and waking up at the end of last cycle, read his post about ingratitude, and allowed my feeling of guilt to trump my common sense. Which is much easier to do when I'm just waking up. I regret it rather strongly at the moment, and feel more than a little bit over-credulous. I'd be behind a lynch on Adavantos, but there isn't any support, so I thought I'd throw my vote somewhere where it might sway things. Because I'd rather Tony get lynched than polking. At the moment, I'm tuning adavantos out. Burnt, Aonar, you folks up to ridding ourselves of the Diagrammist cook?
  8. So, apparently it takes more time and effort to write a whole short story than I thought. Sorry... My gift is for Kobold, and it's going to be spread out in installments. I'll PM it, and if he's OK with it, I'll put the link here too. If he'd rather keep it to himself, then that's his prerogative.
  9. Fair enough. Things have changed significantly in the last year. And not completely for the better - at least where inactivity is concerned. Voting to open up space in the lynch vote is an old tactic, and can be scrutinized accordingly. But it is valuable even so, I think. And we likely have our own emotional allomancy to counter theirs. But either way, the smokers have heard the argument for both sides. They'll make their own decisions.
  10. This is certainly the case, kas. But at least in the beginning, we will be able to have enough votes to overpower the emotional allomancy available to the Spiked. So protecting our own votes seems less important to me than not hamstringING any seeking roles we have. The Spiked could easily have a Seeker too, or a Mistborn that draws bronze. I'll admit I hadn't thought through those situations as carefully, though. Anything we do to make our own seekers more effective (if we have them) would clear the way for a Spiked Seeker as well. In my estimation, it's still worth it, but not as clear cut as I thought

  12. Remarkably quiet. About this time last game, we were all fussing over Eol's gambit. I think that at least some discussion should happen today. One of us will now than likely be gone by next cycle. On the subject of action use - Coinshots should not kill randomly. If you have suspicions, by all means follow them, but make your kills useful to the Village. We don't want to lose our Seeker or a Mistborn or a Tineye to a random kill. Lurchers should probably protect themselves this cycle, unless you really think that you can predict the Spiked target. Smokers should not use their ability for a while. The Spiked have much more to fear from a Seeker than we do. It would be nice if the Seeker could be sure that any smoked target they Seek is evil. Just my 2 cents.
