  1. Not sure if I'll have time to finish up my RP before the turn ends (had to deal with my Elimination game starting, among other things), so I'll put my actions in now (some of which I've alluded to already anyway ).
  2. Rule Clarifications: The Worldsinger does not change just numbers in the final vote tally, but how the targeted player appears to have voted in the tally. An uncorrupted Artifabrian that targets a player who isn't corrupted will just make the target aware that they aren't Corrupt for the following Night and Day. Yes. Yes. This includes Brightlords/Brightladies with Shardplate, as well. If this occurs, the regular (non-Corrupted) Artifabrian's ability takes precedence. The target will not be Corrupt for the following cycle, and will be informed of this, as usual. In this case, the Guardsman's protective ability takes precedence over the Shardplate, so the player will not lose their Plate.
  3. Highprince Dalinar Kholin has invited you to a very special banquet, at none other than the king’s feasting basin. Though he declined to tell you his motives, you know better than to turn down an invitation from a man of such status. Plus, many of your closest allies and enemies are there, meaning that the feast will be abuzz with rumor and gossip. Such is the endless strife of a lighteyed noble such as yourself, attempting to catch the latest news of the goings-on throughout the warcamps and Alethkar itself. Of course, hearsay also tends to lead to lies, and lies lead to deceit, and deceit leads to corruption. While you’ve always felt that you can trust in your comrades, you’re beginning to think that something more may be going on. That, perhaps, you may not all be working towards the same goal... Nevertheless, a feast is a feast, so you might as well take the time to enjoy it, right? The Game Conspirators & Corruption Roles Messages Action Order And there's the game! As usual, if you have any game-related questions/clarifications, feel free to ask, either in-thread, or via PM. If you have not already done so, make sure to read the general rules to get an understanding of the basic rules and terminology in the games. For roleplay purposes, the signup phase will take place just before Dalinar’s great feast, at the king’s feasting basin. So if you want to do any pre-game roleplaying (as I’m hoping this game will have some interesting elements of roleplay involved), there’s the place you’ll probably want to get to. For further reference’s sake, this game takes place several months before the events in The Way of Kings. On that note, signups will end about a week from now, on August 19, and then the madness and corruption will begin! If you cannot join the game for some reason and wish to watch, PM me if you'd like to join the Spectator Doc. 4. Some belated RP to go with the last turn. “Ah, another wonderful morning!” Naryan smiled. “Very exciting!” The ebullient House Lord leapt over to his bedroom window and opened the curtains, letting in the reddish morning sunlight. The ash fluttered through the sky, so carefree, and Naryan waved to the ash, as if it could wave back. “Rather chipper this morning, Your Lordship,” a tall man said in the doorway. “Especially considering that your mother just recently died.” “Yes, yes, of natural causes,” Naryan responded, turning to look over at his butler. “You really look on the worse side of things, Garry. I’ll need to see that changed.” “Of course, Your Lordship,” the butler spoke impassively. Naryan rolled his eyes at the butler, and opened the doorway to his study. “I was up late last night coming up with a new plan for this House.” “Oh yes,” Garry frowned. “Because your nocturnal habits are so clearly evident in this early-morning excitement.” Naryan gave the butler no heed, but looked outside the window of his study, at the ash floating outside. “We’re going to tear down the House farm!” Garry blinked his eyes, his mouth agape. “Your Lordship, I would advise that--” “It’s for the best,” Naryan interrupted. “There are too many nobles out there with farms, too much competition to deal with. We can sell off the farm, and focus our investments elsewhere. I was hoping to go into the salt mining business.” “There’s a salt mining business?” Garry asked, slowly regaining his composure. “Exactly,” Naryan smiled, pointing a pen in Garry’s direction, “there isn’t one… yet. Once this next business venture is done, we should be the rulers of salt! The saline sultans! The supreme salties!” “I… salt, my Lord?” “Yeah, salt. The stuff that preserves food and makes it taste better.” “I know, my Lord, but… I’m not exactly sure you’ll corner the market with salt.” “I’m not looking to corner the market, I’m looking to--” Naryan stopped as a messenger opened the door to his study. “Ah, the lumber’s arrived? Right on schedule!” “You really do have a new direction for this House, don’t you?” Garry asked, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah, that’s what I said,” Naryan chuckled, walking over to the messenger to sign a form. “With the whole salt business and our woodworker’s shops, we can really start preserving food! Hopefully, that’ll end up preserving our House as well.” “If you say so,” Garry sighed. Though, even if Garry might have been the last to admit it, he felt that there was some sense in Naryan’s words, even if the new House Lord was an exuberant goofball.
  5. I'm working on some RP, but I might as well put in my actions first just to be safe:
  6. I'm on vacation as well, so I won't be able to do much until about a week from now. Action 3: Erinald Gardre is setting up an open trading market in their Housing district, in order to allow craftsmen to show off and trade their wares with one another (and to collect taxes from these trades).
  7. A letter to King Taravangian, transcribed via Spanreed: This recent Death Rattle collected from Smeagol indicates that it occurred many hours after his death. Is something going on with Moelach? If this is the case, the Diagram certainly did not predict it, and we'll need to adjust to this unprecedented situation. Perhaps we could even use it to our advantage, considering the circumstances, but I'm sure that you and the Silent Gatherers know much more about it than I do. Anyway, as mentioned yesterday, our plan is working to perfection. Thanks to the missing supporter of the kill against Smeagol yesterday, we managed to deduce that Alvonoha had the surge of Tension. Fortunately for us, this apparently turned out to be true. At this rate, we should have the Lightweaver killed off by tonight, meaning that (despite our losses) we should be in fairly good shape to weather the coming storm. The Refugees, however, will not. The Diagram will be fulfilled, at least in this regard, even if I'm not around to see it come to fruition. Let the Diagram reign, gancho. -The Ronzo
  8. See, remember what I said about the whole "angry mob" thing? So far, most of you have voted for me without actually really knowing why. In fact, I haven't seen any evidence used against me, so, quite frankly, there's nothing I can do to defend myself here. I never once openly confirmed that I was a Diagramist, so you're honestly taking a big risk here. But if you insist, go ahead. Strike me down, for I will only become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
  9. Well, I've recently been failing to not die in the Sanderson Elimination game, so I don't have any RP yet, but I'll do that at some point tomorrow. Anyway, Action 1: Erinald Gardre is setting up an artisan's guild within the Housing District, specifically to create wooden storage and transportation goods (such as buckets, barrels, and wagons) to be sold off to Houses and to lower the cost of transporting and storing products.
  10. “Ganchos, this isn’t cool,” the Ronzo said, leaning back against a rock, watching the angry mob forming. “The funny thing is, you call yourselves ‘Knights Radiant,’ like those old guys back from another time… but no, you’re not like them. You’re trying to lynch us all in mob-form… what kind of honorable deed is that?” The Ronzo looked over to his pal Wannan and smiled wanly. “Sure, ganchos, we might be trying to kill you all, but it is for an important purpose. The survival of mankind. The survival of us all through the coming storm. Surely, you are willing to give up your lives for such a thing as that, eh? Well, we are, at least. You may kill us, but our names will sung through the ages to come, if we are to survive this coming Desolation. And, of course, should you all not head towards the Oathgate, but rather turn back now and not go there at all, your names may be immortalized as well.” The Ronzo raised a challenging eyebrow at the angry crowd. “Ah,” he smiled. “But of course, our fight is not over yet. Not by a long shot.” With that the Ronzo picked up a spear and aimed it at Smeagol. “Nothing personal, gancho,” the Ronzo shrugged, “but you’re making this situation a little inconvenient, being an Edgedancer and all. Guess that makes you a pretty slippery fellow, eh, gon? I… yeah, sorry, you probably didn’t want your life to be ended with a bad pun. Lucky for you that the King’s Wit isn’t here, or he’d be merciless with his bad puns! But anyway, terribly sorry about all this.” Shame I didn't have enough time to make this longer. Terribly sorry about all this.
  11. Well, if what Paranoid King and Bridge Boy say is correct, then it is unlikely that Paranoid King actually saw Bort's PM. This doesn't clear him, but if he is a Diagramist, he probably didn't know that Bort was a Truthwatcher (at least based off of the PM). As for Leif, I'm sort of ambivalent. I don't think that the points raised against him are as severe as some have been pointing out, and it is interesting that he's ended up attracting far more attention than Twelfth or me. However, I am starting to wonder about the "reprieve" that he mentioned. I'm guessing that you're assuming that the Bort PM was a group PM between Bort and the four other participants, but each of the PMs are sent out individually. Other than Paranoid King, all of us have discussed what went on in our separate PMs with Bort. I haven't figured out who to vote for yet, but I'm starting to suspect Idolevy and Kipper again, for the reasons I gave on Day 1. At the very least, neither of them have contributed anything to the discussion since then, so I'd like to know where they stand on this, if they decide to show up.
  12. I understand that, but I seriously doubt that you'd end up drawing out any eliminators by voting for Clanky, with only your vote. Especially considering that Clanky had made only one post prior to that, meaning that there's very little information there that could lead people to make posts to attack/defend Clanky at that point. While you claim to have an intent to kill Clanky, it seems odd to pick an inactive player out of the blue like that, and expect that players will try to lynch him. Unless, of course, you didn't expect anyone to lynch Clanky, and only voted for him to attempt to distance yourself from a fellow Diagramist. (I know it might seem as if I'm being nitpicky here, but these are all things to keep in mind for later in the game, when the pieces of the puzzle start fitting together.) Nevertheless, seeing as the lynch train has careened towards Paranoid King and Leiftinspace, I don't think my vote on Phattemer is currently of much use. Not sure who exactly to vote for yet; I'll figure that out tomorrow.
  13. Bort did indeed contact me, and said that he contacted the same players as Twelfth mentioned. Our PM consisted mostly of us discussing general strategies (such as the one Bort suggested in-thread yesterday, which I mostly disagreed with), and some basic suspicions. He also heavily implied that he was the Truthwatcher (rather than a Lightweaver, which could’ve been the other option). I was a bit suspicious of him as he claimed that anyone else with PM-ing capabilities would likely be a Diagramist. To me, Bort’s death seems odd because I don’t exactly see the point in a Diagramist killing Bort off right away, had they been contacted via PM. If the Diagramists wanted to get away with killing Bort, it would’ve made much more sense had they waited a few cycles to loosen the connection between the PM and Bort’s death, or if they killed off all the players in PM contact with Bort first. I mean, sure, if they were really afraid of Bort's protection ability, it might make sense to kill him off immediately, but with the capability to make Gravity-assisted kills, such a protection ability wouldn't exactly be a game-changer (especially since Bort seemed intent on using his charges towards PMs). By no means should we discard the idea that one of the four of us killed Bort, but I feel that such a plan is sort of foolish, as it pretty much guarantees that those players would be immediately scanned or lynched. The only exception is if the player in question is of little use to the Diagramists (i.e. inactive), which would point towards Paranoid King. (Of course, I'm not going to leave myself out of the suspect pool, so if any of our Lightweavers/Elsecallers are suspicious of me, I have no problem being seeked this cycle.) However, since Paranoid King already has accrued some votes, I’m going to put my vote on Phattemer for now, who only showed up once last cycle to poke-vote Clanky. Yet, in that post, Phatt also said that it was important to have lynch discussion with the intent to kill. Unless you were really certain that other players would bandwagon onto that vote, that poke-vote doesn’t seem to have an “intent to kill,” does it?
  14. Sure. The following did not post on Day 2: Sani (The Only Joe) Madon (Mailliw73) Adamir (Adamir) Kip Sturm (Kipper) Findilti Findilt (idolevy) Orlok (OrlokTsobodai) Dow (dowanx) Eo (Spooky Eowyn) Akirsefatafesrika (Bridge Boy) Kazaaakplethkilik (Paranoid King) Alvonoha (Alvron) Cla (Clanky) (Pretty sure that's correct.) Fair enough. I didn't actually get a chance to see your response yesterday, so if I had, I probably would've retracted my vote. Plus, I suppose that it is contributing more than the majority of those I listed above.
  15. Macen, I already explained my suspicion of you (assuming that is why you are suspicious of me). I'll admit that it might not be the strongest piece of evidence, but the fact that we still have no lynches so far means that the information at our disposal is at a minimum. I used the one piece of information that we did have (that the Diagramists almost certainly have the surge of Gravitation), and that immediately pointed to you, as I explained on Day 1. I went to sleep afterwards, so pretty much everything that happened after that was out of my control. Anyway, I counted, and 12 out of the 26 remaining players failed to post this last day turn. I'll admit that I was originally against killing inactives just for the sake of it, but with almost half of the players silent, and only 6 placing votes, that leaves us with roughly... a lot of people that we have practically no information on. With that in mind, I'll definitely be more aggressive to those who aren't talking at all, as odds are that several of them are Diagramists. And even if they aren't, it's useful to get more minds to weigh in. After all, if we only have these 14 people talking for the rest of the game, then, unless we find the Diagramists pretty quickly, we're pretty much doomed, because we won't have anyone active enough to figure out who the Diagramists are at the end of the game. (The end of LG 2 is a perfect example of this, in which the last 2 Eliminators were pretty much revealed, but only 1 of the 3 remaining Villagers was actually active and voted, so the Villagers ended up losing.)
  16. Well, in the incredibly small chance that the write-up isn’t accurate, the fact that the Diagramists decided to go after Meta (who would likely be protected), means that they were pretty confident that their kill would go through. Which means that it’s almost guaranteed that the Diagramists have a Windrunner or Skybreaker (and, as Hero stated, probably a Windrunner, unless they’re purposely withholding their second kill). That does help us know that a lot of the Diagramist kills will be unblockable, but it doesn’t help too much more than that. However, it does make me a bit suspicious of Macen, as he did not mention the chance of a Gravitation Diagramist in his role analysis. And there have been several instances where a Gravitation-like role (i.e. the Smoker role from Mistborn games) has been included on the Eliminator team. So you either didn’t consider the fact, or were purposely trying to mislead us from believing that there is indeed a Gravitation Radiant on the Diagramist team. I’d also like to know what’s happened with Findilti, who hasn’t posted since I voted for him last cycle. Care to say why you were so vehement on voting for Kipper?
