I agree with Shardlet, rythmatists seem too proud for that. Plus, it's possible the strength of the chaklings has less to do with its inner objective beauty, and more with the projection of what the person drawing is having in his mind. Then copied chaklings would be useless.

It may be that the death rattles are a small side effect of getting a very bad vision when you die, totally spoiling your last minute of consciousness. After all, the fact that the vision is expressed loudly is not very useful for most people, except for Mr T. And about him, I won't say that for the moment, he did lots of good from it. Death rattle push him to get and kill hundreds of innocents...

You've got a point It's an ebook, but not one you can actually read.

You can check that kind of stuff on the Internet, thanks to Google books. It's not as convienient, but it my be useful to know for non-ebook readers

We know at least one character who passes the time by sneaking in breast-shaped castles in order to taste rich people food.

Shallan and slaves - analysis of a single scene
BrindIf replied to kari-no-sugata's topic in Stormlight Archive
That's Kaladin's assumptions. About Dalinar, I suppose that as a Brightlord, he's used to make such declarations, and then have scripts doing the paperwork and thoughts to make it realistic. He certainly has the money to backup the freedom of those slaves. -
Stones Unhallowed 10.5% Accurate Predictions: Kaladin

Can the honorblade open the oathgate? If so, Dalinar may find it useful, even being stuck at Urithiru. -
I think Szeth is a religious fanatic. He has abdicated his freedom of thought to the Shaman, letting them decide for him what is true or false, what is right or wrong, even if he doesn't feel the same way. The passage Hoser is referencing is: So yeah, him following the rules of his religion is a kind of cowardice. Even if it also ask for a lot of courage.

Can you "go" into Shadesmar? I mean, does the one going there (Jasnah or Shallan) really disappear during a moment from the actual world, or is this trip happening in her head only?

Moash was given his Shards (his Shards! the most incredible present ever made to a darkeyes!) by Kaladin, who saved also his life more than once. Thus, he rather killed Kaladin than think twice about his revenge and postpone it. He is, in my opinion, one of the darkest character in the book so far, if not the darkest. (I have less issues understanding Amaram or Sadeas.) My theory is that what will become of him has already been fortold:

“I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.”
BrindIf replied to Mikanium's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think that's the whole point. Those tests suppose you can predict any action result and estimate the humanity total hapiness just like that Well, I am no God, so a human morality is just fine for me, thank you very much... Maybe that just the point for Kaladin too, "what is right" is to protect a drunk man from assassins. He stop trying to guess the bigger figure (and that good, as by killing Elokhar, they would not have get Dalinar as new king), just try to find action is right in the present (what he can sleep with). -
Kaladin has not known a lot of educated darkeyes...

From book 1, it doesn't have to: Of course, we only have Av's word about it, but I don't see why his tale about his father wouldn't be accurate.

He already was betrayed by Graves, as the Diagram planned Dalinar's assassination, while Moash was being said the plan was for Dalinar to become king.

It could fit with Moash's arc.

Lighteyes suck at apologising... (some spoilers)
BrindIf replied to ChocolateRob's topic in Stormlight Archive
By the way, I'm not arguing Dalinar should have apologized. I just don't think his attitude was totally correct. In prison, he told Kaladin: "If you truly believe what you told me about Amaram..." I find this insulting. First, he's implying Kaladin could make such accusations without believing them, second, he's stating that even if Kaladin is genuine, he's disillusioned. Ok, in the same time he's inquiring more. I supposed not so much by gratitude than because Kaladin showed in the arena he was perfectly able to fight a Shardbearer, and thus made his claims a lot more credible. As I wrote before, I understand his attitude, he has a hard choice to make, and we saw in tWoK that he's the kind to take time by himself. And as Chrono stated, the way he's inquiring is too delicate to let anyone messing it. In the same time, I don't think his attitude is respectful of Kaladin. -

About Dalinar. Kaladin just save his sons' lives. And not because it was his job, as a bodyguard he could have let them deal with the duel trap without anyone reproaching him I think. And he did it in quite a spectacular way, especially for a darkeyes. I do not think difference of classes should still rules his relation with Dalinar. Ok, he then just messed up, speaking out of his rank. And thus went in prison, by obedience toward Dalinar and military hierarchy. I personally would have expected a bit more from Dalinar. Like visiting him more often, or sooner. Like not just telling him he's not believed but asking more details about what Amaram did, showing him he's respected. Adolin has a far more nicer reaction, going to jail too, giving Shards. I'm not sure why Dalinar keeps his distance. We know from book 1 that Dalinar is the secret kind, mumbling for days about questions and pounding his choices without speaking them out, so that's what may have happened. I mean, he's in a fairly bad situation, either his best friend he just named Radiant is a liar, a thief and a murderer, either the Capitain of his bodyguards (and of the king's) is a delusionned... Either situation is very bad for him, and there seems to be no direct way to find out the truth. So I understand his attitude, and I guess it makes sense from his point of view... but it's still really unfair on Kaladin, and I'm not surprised he get so upset. -

Quiver, in WOR we learn that I would bet on an ignorance of what stormlight can do and a way of showing off riches or reward bravery, whatever jewelry is used for. -
That makes sense. Lift has the same kind of experience, she explained Darkness she tried not to care, and then started becoming crazy, that she has to care in order to deal with her life.

The Visions, Alethkar, and The Way of Kings [minor spoilers]
BrindIf replied to Senor Feesh's topic in Stormlight Archive
That makes sort of sense. The Way of Kings describes the first ideal of the Knights Radiants, and reading it really change Dalinar.
