  1. Alright, now we're talking! mail-mi, Winter... what would you two think about doing an Epic car chase? Well, a bus chase as it happens, but the principle's the same...
  2. I feel your pain. I don't believe for an instant that my dreams of a glorious anarchist utopia will ever come to fruition--I'm just pleased to have an alternative to offer people when I sit on my high stool and mock Democrat and Republican politicians with equal mirth. How do you accidentally get a date, if I might ask? I'm asking for a friend, because I am of course not a sad, dateless fool who's looked upon with disdain by all members of the fairer sex who espy him.
  3. The problem with pacifism-driven gun control is that literally not a single law can be enforced without the use of violence. You can't stop people from selling ammunition without threatening them with jail time and legions of heavily armed law enforcement personnel. Government, alas, cannot exist without violence or the looming threat of violence. I've never been to prom. Is there punch? I've heard there was punch. I agree with Mistrunner. This was perfectly said. I don't even have to wade into the debate since Twi's saying everything I'd say with far better phrasing than I could ever muster.
  4. You misunderstand. I'm starting the Tribe of the Shard. We'll scribe our roleplays on cave walls and distribute random memes via carrier pigeons. I am confident that the 17th Shard can survive the dissolution of society.
  5. Anarchist, remember? I believe all world governments should be dissolved and human society should go back to peaceable hunter-gathering, preferably with no technology more advanced than bronze smithing. I'm not just opposed to gun control, I'm operating on an utterly different plane of philosophy as gun control.
  6. My mother has taken to doing yoga every morning with the help of videos she found on the Internet. The lady who teaches yoga in them talks in a soft, flowing voice about "exercising the spirit along with the body" and "imagining a trapdoor in your head, and through it pouring all of your stress and worry out of your body and into the air." No, I'm not making either of those up. So my mother and I generally have the same reaction to the more "spiritual" parts of her videos.
  7. We drove past a tiny playground today. The ground had been covered in dry gravel, a couple of dusty old slides and swingsets were standing crookedly on the rocks, and the entire thing was surrounded by black iron bars with pointed tips on their tops. I'm no architect, but I don't think a playground should look like it was designed by Vlad the Impaler.
  8. It's a grim question. Most people would rather not think too hard on it. For the record, my answer is "Use my sonic screwdriver and divert the train so it hits the maniac who orchestrated this deranged scenario." I like your interpretation. And yours is the right answer--do what you have to do in the spur of the moment, but the world is never is binary and optionless as it looks. Binary moral questions are kind of ridiculous at heart, because they assume we live in a simple reality when our universe is anything but. I get what they're trying to accomplish, but our goal should always be to think outside the box and save as many lives as possible. Personally, I think trying to loophole your way out of the island situation is a much more responsible use of your time than choosing who to let starve to death. If I were stuck on an island, I'd much rather go out berry picking with Twi than stick with whoever's gonna kill me so the canned food doesn't run out.
  9. Backtrack can show her what the area looked like when the Museum was still on the ground. That... sort of counts, right?
  10. I thought you had a plan. Doesn't really matter to me. Lightwards will be reaching the ground soon, so that could be a good time for Backtrack and his totally-not-girlfriend to rejoin Team Empire.
  11. Do you want to go next with the MV / Backtrack situation?
  12. You're an honorspren, right? What's the most honorable act you have ever personally witnessed?
  13. I envision CorpseMaker laughing in Timeport's face for a long while before calming himself long enough to ask for the pertinent details.
  14. Now this makes Mark interesting.
  15. There's been a Unicyclist reply? Gee, I am behind, aren't I?
  16. "Are you sure you're a guy?" "Yes, you insignificant slug, I am a man!" "'Cause I heard you were a girl." "No, you sniveling shred of normalcy, I am a man. I have a villainous goatee and everything!" "Are you sure?" "Yes, you spineless brainless sack of easily broken bones! I am a man!" "Cool, just checking. Just wanted to get you to hold still long enough for our murdermobile to get here." "Your what?" * pink convertible laden with barbie dolls with mustaches scribbled on them crashes into Dawnstrike * ... On that note, Question thread, which characters of mine need posts? Arsenal, Vondra, and maybe Deathwish I know--what about Sam and Revolution?
  17. Precisely. And then he could finally kill her through mundane means made awesome, like ramming her with a car stuffed full of her weakness.
  18. Probably for the best. If there are enough of those stupid trees to name the town after them, it's probably not that great of a place to live.
  19. He definitely had parades, of a sort. Personally though, I suspect that these were not widely publicized and wouldn't have occurred in the latter part of his reign, when Big S's paranoia was at its peak. I agree with Twi and the others though, warrior. I feel like too much emphasis is being placed on the Hunter's badchullery as opposed to his goals, motivations, and realistic character flaws. In addition, didn't we agree not to allow any new motivator-using characters?
  20. Shshsh, I was going to leave that part a surprise.
  21. But you're "The one with all the answers", right? Surely you know? I kid, I kid. If you want to join, just give us a character pitch and we'll help you pick out the perfect thread for you!
  22. I saw a proposal for a spin-off series on Reddit that goes something like such: I would watch the heck out of that.
  23. And then you realize you need ALL the scumbag hats, and plenty of pictures of Starlight Glimmer.
