Zombie Survival Guide: Investiture Edition
Kobold King replied to Kobold King's topic in General Brandon Discussion
The real question is whether you can, somehow, harvest Breaths from zombies. Storm it Observer, now there's another fan fiction I want to see. -
Zombie Survival Guide: Investiture Edition

Sorry, but I just had to. You practically asked for it. Ahem. The Misborn suggestion is cool too, and the "drive-thru" necromancy made me laugh. -
Zombie Survival Guide: Investiture Edition
Kobold King replied to Kobold King's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Zombies, being sentient, mobile beings, probably count at least as "alive" at least as much as the rockbuds we see being slashed by a Shardblade. Stormlight spoilers: Forgery sounds pretty cool. Bloodsealing could also be a useful power, seeing as a lot of bodies would probably be lying around... -
I know exactly who Oscar Leroy is and I laughed out loud when I saw that. This is also hilarious to me. I am going to break a rule of mine and include two grinning smilies in the same post: EDIT: Incorrect quote formatting.

That's the impression I got as well. Odium's a nasty fellow who's attention has a lot of nasty repercussions .

That... was beautiful. You sir have certainly Raysed the bar for puns on this thread.

Did anyone else notice that in his story to Shallan (two blind men at the end of an era) he references the God Beyond, a deity worshipped on Scadrial during the AoL period?
-
I love the idea of 9 out of 10 Heralds being present at the night of Gavilar's KO. But do we really have official confirmation of Shalash's presence?

Zombie Survival Guide: Investiture Edition
Kobold King replied to Kobold King's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Wow, a number of awesome things have been proposed... I never before realized I wanted to read a fan fiction in which a stranded Hemalurgist experiments on zombies while slowly losing his sanity. Now it's all I can think about. AonDor has the greatest number of uses in a post-apocalyptic setting. While at first glance it might seem unwieldy in the face of this threat, I think that if Aon Daa can lay waste to armies of Dakhor, Zed doesn't stand a chance. A Stormlight-powered fabrial tank. This is almost too awesome for words, and I genuinely wish to see something of the kind in future SA installments. -
I like this theory. The Weeper was an interesting concept, and I'd be disappointed if we never see more of her. I'm not sure which order of the KR she might be connected with, though.
-
And you know why? Because it's Epic, that's why! It's also awesome, but I'm not edge(dance)ing into that territory right now... EDIT: made a mistake with my WoRding. Don't worry, I Tinkered with it.

Don't WoRry. With any Luck it will all be over (Ten)Soon.

My pleasure. As a lunatic, I occasionally need a channel for my madness to seep through. -
Zombie Survival Guide: Investiture Edition

Ouch. That sounds like it would hurt. A lot. How would you keep from going insane? I would love to see a battle between the forces of undeath and the forces of... well, undeath again, but with squirrels. -
What exactly is Nightblood? (WoR spoilers inside)
Kobold King replied to menacekop's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I thought Nightblood was a swordspren, in the same vein as the ship and the stick that Shallan spoke to in WoR. I thought Vasher & Co accidentally transferred a lot of Breaths to a spren, hence its Shardblade-esque nature. -
I think she's probably dead, but the idea of her being Jenet is interesting. Vivenna never struck me as a horse person, though--her sister Siri was the one who enjoyed riding on a regular basis.

Yeah, divine powers and Twinawesomeness may be a bit over-the-top for this thread. -
Zombie Survival Guide: Investiture Edition

Well that's one way of surviving, and one I hadn't even considered. Good for you, I guess. -
So the day has finally come--the dead walk the Earth, devouring any living thing they come across. Who knows how it happened. Maybe an Awakener went a bit overboard with his Lifeless army, or maybe the guy from "Death by Pizza" finally went nuts. However this came about, you're a single mistake away from becoming a zombie's meal. Fortunately, you have an edge over the average survivor--you're from the Cosmere. You have access to Investiture, and the fantastic powers that come with it will hopefully allow you to survive. But what powers are best suited to surviving this apocalypse? Well, that's what this thread is here to find out. Myself, I'm a Twinborn Coinshot/Bloodmaker. I use my Allomantic steel to fly over the heads of disappointed Zeds, occasionally dispatching one with a well-aimed coin. And if the worst come to worst and a Zed takes a bite out of me... my Feruchemical gold heals the wound, and if I tap enough of it, cleanses me of the disease. But enough about me. How do your powers of Investiture serve you during the Zombie Apocalypse?

This is a very interesting theory, but I don't think that somebody Soulcast his body. Instead, maybe all the rock on Roshar is Tanavast's body. We know from Mistborn that seemingly mundane things like mist can be a Shard's body. If all the rock on Roshar were actually the body of Honor, it makes even more sense why the Shin would find walking on it so blasphemous ... and why gemstones hold Stormlight so well.
-
Oh? What can I do to Soothe your mistgivings, Delightful?

Subtlety takes a little more Wit than I'm willing to Invest at the moment.

Nal this is getting out of hand.

That's probably my favorite Cosmere-derived pet name. "Wasing the where of bone?"

I was skeptical, but this actually makes a lot of sense. This also makes far more sense than it should. Upvote.
