  1. Well if her name was already fun, she wouldn't have taken an Epic moniker. Let' make sure Nighthound never gets to one of Brandon's signings.
  2. Darn. Back to the drawing board. Wait... are drawing boards his weakness? Am I getting warmer?
  3. Wait... is his weakness chocolate? EDIT: Just a random thought. Feel free to ignore the comment or RAFO without implying an answer either which way--just realized it might seem like I'm trying to pressure an answer.
  4. I'm looking forward to learning all the details! One question that is especially important to me: where do most familiar spirits come from? Are they spirits that coalesce in the Spiritual Realm, unbound to any body at any point in their lives? Is it possible for a familiar to be the spirit of a deceased animal?
  5. I always knew he had a core of inner awesomeness. (I've known my Neko since he was born, but I suppose Informant could have erased my memories of his fateful Oregon trip.) Er, yes. I will be posting that soon. Edgedancer, would Lucentia react to anything in between Neverthere's disappearance and Altermind entering the Sadry house? If not, then I'll bring us fully up to date in the next Lightwards post.
  6. Have I mentioned what a decent, totally not deranged and psychotic person Koschei the Deathless was lately?
  7. You know you're a Sanderfan when reading this makes you wonder if Darkness targets people for public indecency.
  8. Vive la Revolution!

      Edgedancer

The Revolution will (not) be villainized.

Just keep thinking, hoping, and praying that.

      Newan

You pushed the leader of the rebellion into a giant fan!

  9. The main thing is finding a good quote with Altermind. I thought about just using "Imbeciles" as a sort of catch-all catchphrase, but worried that might be a bit too generic.
  10. Eep. I haven't even finished the Altermind profile for Mailliw yet. These'll go on my list, though I'll need a pony for the Colonel first.
  11. Declawing...?!? Who knows what kind of unsavory scum I might have to scratch in this RP! My claws, talons, fangs, or possibly tentacles will remain untouched, thank you very much. Not if it's something pink and frilly. If I can get a badchull pet trenchcoat, however... then we'll talk.
  12. You're too kind. Though just to establish some ground rules, I'm wholly against spaying or neutering familiar spirits.
  13. I'm in love with non-human characters, especially the ones with radically non-human minds and ways of looking at the world. Would a familiar of an animal-like appearance possess the same quirks and general personality as a wholly biological animal of the same kind? For instance, would a cat-like familiar enjoy hunting and cleaning itself, or would a crocodile-like familiar enjoy wallowing in cool water or basking in the sun? I guess I'm open for adoption.
  14. Forrest Smith, I think? Yeah, I find myself increasingly fond of the idea. This may be at least partly because I never quite found a hook to make her character more interesting, though--I fear that making Revolution an Epic for reals would just end up as a shallow gimmick born from a writer running out of ideas. There's also the adjectives "tragic" and "overpowered," which could easily be applied to our alternate Sunburst. Since Vondra will be busy, I think she'll mainly be following orders from other vanilla commanders and fighting the invasion. Think Avengers-esque Epics protecting the city, but substitute pandas and flying squirrels for the Chitauri.
  15. (I'm writing a zoology book.) "To cope with the chilly polar oceans, Arctic fish possess special adaptations for keeping them from freezing. Nighthound, having no adaptations, would swiftly freeze to death in these icy waters."
  16. Baxter's awesome! Also, I have a tomcat named Neko.
  17. Ascended Fanon. The Dalles boasts the most well-armed schoolchildren in Oregon.
  18. I like to think he passes out free guns to anyone who doesn't already have loads of them. That way he makes sure The Dalles is heavily armed while also getting a great excuse to use his powers all the time.
  19. I'm still not sure how we'll ever find out what happens at Revolution's community. Not unless everybody suddenly wants to RP a bunch of hippie characters. "All healing comes at a price, dearie! In this case, that price is me."
  20. Koschei is essentially Oregon's Rumpelstiltskin. He's in everyone's backstory. Oddly enough, "Santales" isn't a reference to our favorite personified spirit of Christmas.
  21. Yes, but the devil is in the details. Or in this case, Koschei the Deathless is in the details. I was hoping no one would notice and everyone would assume I'm just really creative when it comes to names.
  22. There's always some small bit of hope in a situation. Now think of poor Sam. An energy Epic called Quasar destroyed her whole family... and now the first friend she's had in years has gone the same way. If I were the kind of writer who enjoyed tormenting characters, I might be laughing very fiendishly indeed at this AU. I like Rewind! Can't wait for his profile. Soon I'll have a bio up for Mary Santales, AKA Jingleberry.
