  1. ...Whoops. This is what happens when I skim a topic. Have as sympathy upvote in apology for what I've put you through.
  2. The link's here. Like with many things, the best way to learn how to use it is to load it up and explore it. I can answer specific questions you might have.
  3. Would you guys hate me if I linked to this picture?
  4. Epic Name: Brandon Sanderson Real Name: Brandon Sanderson Power: Type 3 Calculating ability. Brandon Sanderson can determine the exact percentage of completion in any unfinished work. Weakness: Unknown. Possibly going more than twenty-four hours without writing. Modus Operandi: Driving we mere mortals mad with constant status updates as we await the conclusion to our favorite book series.
  5. I don't think so. It's descriptive, after all.
  6. It seems we missed a lot of opportunities by killing off Mocha Maxima so quickly.
  7. Could you Awaken a Hemalurgic spike? I would think that a spike is already too "full" of Investiture to absorb the necessary quantity of Breaths to be Awakened.
  8. Really? I thought it was established Dalles canon screaming as it was annihilated. Could just be me, though. We've been operating under the assumption that all the Epics in The Dalles work for the City Guard, but should we adapt the setting so that unaligned Epics are permitted to live in the city provided they follow its laws?
  9. Apparently Mr. Meh elicits even more sympathy from our readers than Pamela Tithers and the Sadry's combined.
  10. Meh. I guess so. This awesome guy here put together a general ratio of vanillas to Epics in the general population of the FSA: 866 to 1. He estimates around 346,000 Epics in the nation total, with as few as 300 of those actually possessing prime invincibilities. Just wondering, if his assessment is accurate, would that mean anything of note for the RP? Is it possible we have a balance of vanillas-Epics-High Epics that's not quite in keeping with canon?
  11. This is a seriously awesome analysis. I have nothing of merit to add to the figures, but I would ask the question: how sure are we of Newcago's population being an accurate measure of the true Epic-vanilla ratio? Could it be that Newcago attracts a higher number of Epics compared to normal humans than is regular within a Fractured States community, or vice versa? Does anyone remember similar figures being given for Babilar in Firefight?
  12. Ricardo. Emilio. Alfonso. Can't say I care about the name much.
  13. Don't worry. I'm not feeling murderous. Although that mysterious star that keeps talking in my head is being pretty pushy. He's telling me to SEIZE HIS TAINTED POWER AND BECOME A GOD or something. Meh. Whatever.
  14. This actually makes me wonder if there is a High Epic somewhere whose worst fear is boredom.
  15. I'm still a noobie at heart. You're a grizzled forum veteran.
  16. This is how I feel today: Meh. (In seriousness though, I'll try to do SOMETHING productive by the day's end. It's... been kind of a rough day for me, but hopefully I can put it behind me long enough to at least post about Backtrack being sad.)
  17. I just remembered Backbreaker. We know absolutely nothing about this Epic besides the fact that David mentions him/her in the same sentence as Obliteration as an Epic capable of destroying all of Newcago. This presumably makes Backbreaker "a big deal," as the kids say.
  18. Wow, good memory. I was so convinced there were millions that I ran to check the book again, certain I was going to get to post a quote from the text validating my claim and reclaiming my geek honor. Still though. Thousands of Epics is a pretty big deal. Especially as the text describes "a couple dozen" as possessing prime invincibilities, and we see only three such Epics in the book besides Steelheart. (Fortuity, Nightwielder, and Firefight. Assuming David is strictly literal when he says "a couple dozen," that leaves twenty-one unkillable Epics loose in the city.)
  19. Altering my settings fixed the problem. Thanks (and upvotes) to both of you!
  20. Just a minor note. As I type this, the clock on my laptop claims that it's 5:30 PM. The forum clock that tells me when posts or messages were made, however, says that it's 4:30 PM. I live in the Central Time Zone, and my laptop's clock has always aligned with that of the forum before. I suspect that Daylight Savings Time screwed up the synchrony; can anyone confirm which clock is accurate?
  21. I was also confused by this. In the first book Prof claims that there are millions of Epics in Newcago. Millions. Even if we assume that the vast majority of these are minor Epics like Curveball who could be cowed by the Reckoners, it's unreasonable to believe that at least a few didn't revel in their newfound freedom from Steelheart.
  22. Just because they don't remember their dreams doesn't mean they don't experience them.
  23. To say nothing of the... wait. Since Backtrack can peak into the thoughts people had during the past, could he see people's dreams by entering their bedrooms?
