Revolution gasped at the question, pulling her head slightly back with her mouth gaping open in shock. For a moment Sam thought she was mortified by the statement, or at least as taken aback by its suddenness as she was. "Do I like sock puppets?" Revolution breathed, her voice quivering with sheer delight. "I adore them! I put on an annual show for my community to illustrate our town's history! You, darling, are speaking to one of the few people who can still claim to be one of the masters of the art of sock puppetry!" The conversation swung into full motion, the two vanillas gazing longingly into one another's eyes as they chattered about the various intricacies of putting their hands in socks. Sam sighed and put the rest of the pizza down for her pug. "So much for sanity. I guess next you'll be warbling over that giant frog suit Funtimes has in the closet."

I can't think of many eligible bachelors in The Dalles who aren't utter creeps. I propose we introduce the Unicyclist's twin brother, who's been roaming The Dalles in a frog suit since before Calamity. Fine. I'll make some modifications to our collaboration Tillamook doc. "Wow," Revolution said abruptly, leaning forward into Nathan's face. "Your eyes are like, totally blue. Deep blue." Sam watched in bewilderment as the woman placed herself in the stunned Nathan's lap, smiling intently at his eyes. Unsure of how to react but knowing she had to say something, she uttered the first sentence that came to mind. "What the sparks is in that pizza?"

Arsenal is 66 and Redlight is in her mid twenties, either 24 or 25. Haven't decided exactly. Maybe I could combine the crack ships so I don't have to keep up with both of them? Nathan + Redlight, or frogsuit!Arsenal + Revolution, or frogsuit!Arsenal + Nathan. There are a lot of potential combinations.

But the age gap alone, setting aside their personalities, would make that relationship doomed to failure from the beginning, and the suit... well, the suit... it's just that.... * sigh * Alright. I know better than to try to paddle my way up this river of insanity. Best to flow with the madness. Conjure up the frog suit and prepare for Revolution to admit her undying love for Nathan, cuz I've got a lot of writing to do.

I come back from church to find almost three pages worth of the most startling, bizarre, and mildly disturbing insanity I've ever come across on this forum. For the first time, I think I see what the Question thread looks like to the rest of the forum.

Why do I think this could be the cover of a pulp fiction magazine on Roshar? A gorgeous woman in a torn dress, raising a safehand with barely a scrap of cloth on it as an enormous highstorm comes hurtling from the horizon. I think it'd make quite a few spheres, personally. You should model for a fan artist and tell us how it turns out.

Excellent. You know, I bet if everybody here posted a short question from the FUNTIMES list to the top of the page, we could get a sizable percentage of them answered. That is probably a good idea. So, TwiLyght. What do you think of Arsenal facing his irrational fear of M&Ms, overcoming his corruption but being so naturally grumpy that nobody notices? I hadn't considered all of that, but those are very good points. ...Does that mean a Discorded!Funtimes would basically be Fortuity?

Actually, I always assumed we saw evil Discorded ponies because we only saw Discord affecting inherently good ponies. At his worst he had no agenda or moral compass--he was simply chaotic, enjoying turning the natural order of things upside down. Looking at it that way, it makes more sense that he'd turn an inherently bad pony to good, or rather, an overly saccharine parody of good, than it would be to turn him into a boring depressing wreck. But that's just my headcanon. Your idea works perfectly too.

Your guy has good methods. Though I have to wonder. What would happen if Discord did his patented "Discording" on Quota? Would he turn grey(er) and suddenly start comforting anyone he suspects is having a bad day?

Once Backtrack attempted to cook a packet of Ramen noodles, and the resulting cooking catastrophe opened a space-time portal that filled his room with Luthings. And then Skordyr ate the building foundations and his house was condemned. Not really, no. Most of the time I create aliens for the fun of it and don't spend much time thinking about how they'd fit into the story. I like the idea of writing a short story that tells how Luthings were first realized to be self-aware--with their lack of technology and the overall lack of a universal translator in the setting, I imagine it could have taken several years for anyone to realize how intelligent they were. In a lot of ways it'd be similar to the discovery of dolphin intelligence, in that both dolphins and Luthings were assumed to be dumb animals before research began to suggest otherwise.

I opened that spoiler tag, saw only the word "Discord," remembered I haven't seen the next episode, and managed to both avert my entire head and close the tab and the same time. It was quite the exhilarating experience, let me tell you.
