Vivenna's cloak, just so I can sleep knowing my cloak possesses the souls of a thousand poverty-stricken peasants. Would you rather have a picnic under an ashfall in the Final Empire, or during the Weeping on Roshar?

Backtrack will be hurt, confused, bruised, possibly cut by broken glass.... I like this plan of yours. When can we enact it?

"You're forgetting the part where MV suddenly shouts out and declares her love for me," a voice interjects from the void. "Shut up, Backtrack," I say. "Grown-ups are talking."

Having a Bad Day? Stop here for a Good Rant!
Kobold King replied to traceria's topic in General Discussion
Oh poor, innocent, naive Delightful. You see, humans need three things to be happy: Life, Liberty, and the ability to shun and revile a select group of people who don't live up to societal norms. On the subject that's more-or-less at hand--my entire household is brony, so this was never an issue for me. However, I've taken the nuclear option when it comes to advertising my preferences. I walk out of the house all the time in my blatantly MLP t-shirt, and I've never run into any insults or stigma for it. Plus, I even met a fellow brony at the checkout counter of Walmart. If you want to come out of the closet, make sure you destroy said closet with a sonic rainboom on your way out. And then, proceed to care as little as you humanly can for any stigma you receive. If it helps, imagine everyone who bullies you with the face of Diamond Tiara. That's basically what they are. -

Color me intrigued. Any idea on what themes or concepts this setting would explore, or have you not figured that out yet?

I'm sorry. That all sounds awful. Don't feel bad about using this thread for its intended purpose, though. It's more healthy to talk things over than to "tough it out," and we'll be your friends to the best of our ability here. -

I'd take 'A' personally, but I get the feeling 'C' is a common answer. -
Sometimes I think God gets bored of His generic designs every now and then, and every other geological era creates a random experiment like this one. Personally, I'm not complaining. This gives my inspiration for new aliens, as all prehistoric creatures do.

Sounds cool. Did your commissioner provide a link for reading more about the character? In other randomness, here's a reptile from the middle-Triassic period with a unique flying style. While birds, bats, and pterodactyls have all used their forelimbs for flight and gliding... ...Sharovipteryx said "I'll do it my own way, thanks."

Dusk--especially if there's a moderate Texas storm rolling in, and you can feel the breeze blowing in before the tempest, blowing stray leaves around and kicking up a few small dust devils. When there's just enough light to see by while not enough to blot out the fantastic flashes of lightning that illuminate the sky in eerie violet light. There's nothing quite as humbling or awe-inspiring as that. In a similar vein, favorite weather? -
I want to hug him and cuddle him and feed him treats and call him George.

I've read Childhood's End and 2001: A Space Odyssey. I found the philosophy behind Childhood's End a bit disturbing personally, but it was an amazing book and I'd definitely recommend it to you. Now, in this week's episode of Wacky Kid Kobold... Looking through my old composition books, I realize just how disturbing some of my worldbuilding concepts really were. There's a race of peaceful lobsters that were enslaved and corrupted by a sapient magical moss that took over their bodies and poisoned their minds. There's a race of reptilian centaurs that are raised in vats, battled against each other for their entire hatchling existence, and are then dropped onto enemy planets as fiercely conditioned shock troops. And most disturbingly, there's a race of bats that can only use magic by causing themselves physical pain, and have invented special arm cuffs that cause them to feel agony without harming their bodies. ... I wasn't a juvenile psychopath, I swear.

Where does one find a textbook for learning Old Gallifreyan? It's quite a loss for them. Fortunately for us, now we have you all to ourselves. -

Probably bobtails, since I've got a couple of them and they're some of the most intelligent--and cuddly--cats I know. Here's a picture of one of them, because I'm honor-bound to post this whenever I can: What's your favorite historical event? -

Maps are cool, but truth be told I'm fond of the artistic licensed Portland and The Dalles we've been in. If we put a higher emphasis on maps, will players be expected to rigidly conform and consult with them when writing their posts? Because that could be a hassle.
