    I'm not going to ask for names, but Seonid, would you mind sharing the methods by which you confirmed people? Sorry for double post, but there has been hours since my last post, so I didn't think it would be too bad. Besides, getting a quote into an edit can be a pain in the backside sometimes. Edit: We have just over an hour until the end of the cycle. Only one person has come forward with a name for the lynch pool, so... Emerald. Yes, I know the vote has to be done by PM, I've already submitted mine, but I wanted to post in here to show a willingness to work together.

    Yes it does, but since my accusation was public, it is forgivable. You may want to check in with the doc though. Edit: I'd like to put out a request that a Diplomat from Heritage or Moderation scans Adamir please. I don't want to set a lynch vote on him, as a Diplomat (as Adamir claims to be) is a useful role, but his play style is raising far too many questions to be ignored. Not just the comments in here which has revealed quite a bit of info about the Glory faction without discussing it with any other member of our faction, but also quite a few of his comments in the docs themselves are also raising questions. So, would someone please be willing to check Adamir, to see if we have found our first Discovery Scholar? Thank you. There will be specially prepared beardnuts for anyone who helps.

    This is the first cycle where we have the ability to lynch. As such, it is much the same as any other day one lynch, except we've had a little longer to talk about it. And, since there seems to be relatively few people willing to talk, we are left with limited options. Seonid put a name out there, as a possible lurker, or possible inactive, and without any other suspicions, it is as good a name as any to start with. We do, after all, have to start somewhere. Why not someone who is, apparently, not contributing to the game (best case scenario) or is simply lurking and spying on Seonid's faction for the Discoverers (worse case scenario). Of course, there are still 5 and a half hours until the end of the cycle, and this is still open to discussion. I'm getting very tempted to put Adamir's name forward for the lynch. He keeps posting things to the main thread without discussing them with his teammates first. As it is though, I don't think he is a Discoverer. I think he is just enthusiastic.

    So far, I'd say we've had more development of Adolin than of Renarin. The flashback characters for the books we've not had yet do include Renarin, but do none of you think that, from what we've seen of them both so far, we will need to know more about Renarin's past to find out how he became Radiant? We won't need this with Adolin because more of his non-Radiancy flashbacks will probably be covered in both Dalinar's and Renarin's books, and we will be watching his progress in, I hope, reawakening his Blade. To me this more suggests that the entire series is based on Adolin. I'm still of the opinion that Adolin will be the one chosen to duel Odium's champion.

    With a cup of earl greybeard in one hand, and the other cupping a chocolate dipped beardnut, Bortholemew the Blind walked around the palace, eventually coming to the place where representatives of all the factions could gather and talk. Unsurprisingly, it was fairly quiet. Shaking his head at how blind everyone was being, he popped the last of his beardnut in his mouth, and started looking for a table to climb onto. A chair helped him up, and soon he was standing at the centre of a decent sized table, and having attracted some attention from people wondering what he was up to. Bortholemew cleared his throat. "So, I'm thinking, while we are all technically at war until someone's backside is on the Emperor's throne, we do all have a common enemy. The Scholars of the Discovery Faction are spread throughout our ranks, working to take down all our factions, and without cooperation between us, we will not find them until it is too late. For any of us." Bortholemew the Blind paused and looked around at the gathered faces, stroking his magnificent beard while he did so. Wait! Did something just move in there? "What I am proposing, is that we gather here, each day, to share any doubts we have. Of anyone, although more specifically, those we doubt from within our own faction. The Diplomats among us have resources they can use to gather information, but the problem here is that they are all biased, and can be misled with false information from within their own faction.So, you bring to the table the suspicions from within your faction, and we see if we can find a Diplomat from another faction to look into their past for you." Another pause. Another slow glance around the room. It seemed people were listening, which would be nice. He hoped they weren't just faking it until the mad old midget moved along. "In the interests, and spirit, of cooperation, I will share with you two things. My suspicions from my own faction. I am least convinced by Sir Edonar, Ishtar, and Baatar Zaofu. And secondly, a stack of delicious, freshly baked and dipped in chocolate, beardnuts." With a smile, Bortholemew gestured towards the doorway and a servant came in with a tray piled high with beardnuts smelling wonderful. With that, the person who was more beard than man climbed down from his table, helped himself to another beardnut, and found a seat by the fire to see if anyone else wanted to talk. ***************************************************************************** Edit: Shortly after he had sat down, a servant approached Bortholemew and whispered something in his ear. Long furry eyebrows that would do a Thaylen proud rose as his face shifted into a slightly dubious expression. Eventually, the midget nodded, eyebrows swaying after his head had stopped. "Very well." As the servant left, Bortholemew climbed up onto his chair and announced, "I have just been informed that Sir Edonar is 'vouched for' by someone I trust, therefore I would like to retract my suspicions on him. For now. I will be keeping a close watch on both of them, and should there be any signs of duplicity, I will bring both of them before the throne for justice." Then he sat back down.

    Not necessarily true. We are, admittedly, assuming that there are two Discovery in each faction. If they decide to vote against this coalition of the two larger factions, then they probably could win the vote, since not only are they adding their votes to the smaller faction, they are also reducing the larger factions' votes by 4.

    I'm not really one for board games. I do play them occasionally, but not often. Usually if I'm playing a tabletop game, it's either a roleplay game, or some variety of Munchkin.

    Thanks Renegade. That was a fun game, even if I died yet again. Hey, Phattemer, you're not the only one who hasn't yet survived a game. Also, Aanwolf, that was really well played. When I joined the dead doc and found out you were the last CC, my reaction was 'wait, what???' You did a great job of playing up to the innocents. I never suspected, not even for a second.

    Bortholemew sighed sadly. He hadn't known the Emperor or the Arbiter personally, but it seemed someone was intent in plunging this poor land into chaos. He took a sip of his Earl Greybeard and returned to the hall where the faction to which he had been assigned was meeting. Now, he was stuck here until the end of this fiasco, if he wanted to find his clue and move on. He just hoped he survived the experience this time.

    "Perhaps you'd like to sample my speciality tea? Earl Greybeard." Bortholemew the Blind offered a teapot to Cang Lu. So, are we all going to work together to get rid of the sneaky Cremlings from the Discovery Channel (Faction), then we can set ourselves up to have an honourable fight for power, with none of this sneaking around?

    Bortholemew the Blind listened to the palace guard and sighed. His faction had been assigned, and events were moving forward. Slowly, admittedly, but, give it a day or two, and the beardomancer was sure that the bodies would start piling up here, just as they had on that train to Elendel. The amount of death and killing going on across the Cosmere, you might think Rayse had reforged Adonalsium and was in complete control. With a shudder, Bortholemew sincerely hoped that was not the case, it would mean bad news for everyone. Moving on to the kitchen, he usurped a stool, and claimed a spot at the food preparation bench. It didn't take too long before he was pulling a freshly baked beardnut from the palace ovens. He dipped it in chocolate, and then stuck a candle in the top. That Kip Sturm fellow had mentioned something about it being his birthday, so Bortholemew had made them a cake. Happy birthday Kipper. Sorry I didn't get this to you yesterday, but the beardnuts do take some time to cook.

    I guess the Stormwardens were wrong, although it'll be interesting to see the consequences if you are correct.

    I will say one positive thing about Clara (and Amy, although she was much better than Clara). At least they took her away from the whole Romancing the Doctor routine that we saw with Rose, Martha, and (to a lesser extent) Donna.

    I have two major fears. The first is heights. I also get vertigo, which is really annoying since when I was a kid I wanted to be a pilot (I couldn't due to the reason for my second fear though). I love flying though, and if I could choose a superpower method of transportation, it would be flight. I know, it doesn't quite work with vertigo, but if I could fly, I think I'd get over it pretty quickly. My second major fear is going blind. This is less a fear though, and more an eventual certainty. I was born half blind - I can only see out of my right eye, left is completely useless. I'm just dreading the day it happens.
