  1. I'd also like to point out that, technically, Odium isn't a bad guy. He's the nasty part of the good guy with everything else that kept his hatred in check stripped away. He is not, however, the ultimate Cosmere 'bad guy'.
  2. Gotta love this line Kipper. While I did expect someone to try to lynch Wyrm, I did also expect it to be a joke (come on, after the last attempt at this game, I'd be suspicious of anyone who didn't expect this joke). However, I don't think we can take anything away from Alvron doing this apart from he was the first one to get there. Bridge Boy, on the other hand, reacted far too strongly to Alv's joke.
  3. When you receive this email from a friend...
  4. Caught episode two last night. Supergirl is not looking promising.
  5. Check my posts on page one of this thread. You will find one where I quoted Brandon as saying that he intends to have each book in the Stormlight Archives named after an in-world book.
  6. So difficult to choose one or the other, but I'm going to have to go with Kelsier, just so we can have the ultimate showdown of Kelsier vs Vin. The Survivor against the Ascendent Warrior.
  7. There is a song, I have no idea what it's called. I call it 'Only You', which might actually be it's real name as far as I know. It is what is commonly called a 'golden oldie' in that it is more than a couple of decades old. About the only part of the song I can recall goes "Only you, can make the world feel right. Only you...." Or something like that. Whenever I read a Bridge Four chapter, all I can think of is this song. "Only stew, can make bridge four feel right..."
  8. The poor goat
  9. I'm voting for Vin too.
  10. Good to see you too Kas, and correct. No beard for this one. Don't worry though, Bortholemew the Blind will return soon enough. ========================================================= Bort leaned in close and sniffed the wall. He poked his tongue out and licked it. Continuing his tongue's motion, he licked his lips thoughtfully. This was good metal, imported from far to the south, and forged locally. Bort could tell. It was in the carbon. Ignoring the odd looks from fellow crew members, the metallurgist continued towards his workshop. There, he checked the metal reserves for the ship. Still plenty, still pure. It was Bort's responsibility to ensure that all of the allomancers on board had enough metals in their purest form to perform their duties.
  11. You got it in one. Giving up half the light of the world was indeed a reference to losing an eye. And to save the world? Well, in aMoL, Rand was in a very difficult place, and would probably have done some very silly things had Moiraine not turned up to slap some sense into him. She was a reminder to him, of where he had come from, and that there were people who believed in him, and that he wasn't fighting for his death, but for everyone else's life. That little bit of advice was, or so I thought at least, the key point that let him defeat the Dark One (or one of them at least, Egwene's 'Let people be their own hero' was another).
  12. I think he was a local. I mean, this isn't the first time we've heard about Scadrial lifeforms having perfect pitch (well, it is, since the other reference I'm thinking of is actually in Alloy of Law).
  13. Just watched the latest episode of Arrow and while it was fairly slow, it was a good episode.
  14. Yeah, you see Arrow, and even Flash go through natural evolutions to their costumes. What you don't see is them trying something on, deciding they didn't like it, trying something else, then something else, before finally settling on something sexy, but not too revealing. That's what I meant when I said we don't see them going through different outfits, not that their costumes don't evolve over time.
  15. Maybe it was, but I still don't think it was needed. If anything, I think it detracted from the whole superheroine thing. Especially since they did the exact same thing earlier in the episode with her dressing for her date.
  16. Her name is Patty Spivot, and no, I'm fairly certain she is actually one of the good guys.
  17. I've just started watching this. Being at home and ill for the past few days gave me time to get through season 1. The next episode on the list is the "Your new wife is a troll, Sire," episode, which I think will be quite funny.
  18. I did like the line "Yes, she's why you got your job here, but you are why you get to stay." On the whole, it was a good intro to Supergirl, but I thought some bits were bad. The costuming part for one. We didn't see Arrow or Flash go through trying on different outfits until they got their superhero outfit right, so having Supergirl go through and try on all these skimpy outfits felt a little gratuitous to me. Not that I'm complaining too much, I think the girl they have to play Supergirl (Melissa Benoit) is pretty hot, so seeing her in skimpy outfits was a good thing, but it did kinda jar a little with the rest of the episode.
  19. Hehe, explains a lot about the whole 'rift in time and space' they keep going on about. Even better, now we have proof... There is a Shardpool underneath Cardiff Bay. That makes Cardiff part of the Cosmere and, by extension, the rest of the world... Reckoners is Cosmere!!!!
  20. You know you're a Sanderfan when... Even your cat is a Sanderfan As a kitten he adopted Words of Radiance as his favoured bed. Now he has grown into something more resembling a panther/raccoon cross breed, he is just left with using my Sanderson books as pillows (or steps to let him look out of the window easier).
  21. Flash 2.4. Enjoyable, if not the best episode out there. Finally, ScottLeft, if you like Thea in season 3, you'll love her in season 4
  22. No, I was being clueless. I had forgotten her name.
