He definitely has something. If it's the same as lifesense (probable), he can probably sense Wyndle as well. We have a bit in WoR where Vasher mentions Syl, and I'm pretty sure he was able to sense her with lifesense as well, even though he can't see her.

This always struck me as a little bit odd, since the imagery and description of it and the highstorm in WoR felt like 2 stormwalls smashing into each other.

RIP. I know there's probably more reasons at play, but I know it's also no small amount of effort on your part to keep producing these, which is certainly appreciated. It has definitely been fun listening though, back since the pre-release WoR chapters. I hope we get to see (hear?) more in the future, even if it only ends up being for the small(er) releases.

Feather, no more splintercast? Noooooooooooo!. But I guess a good thing like this can't last forever. You were like the cosmer friend I don't have at home because I can't get anyone around me to read Brandon's books. Well at least I still have the forums here. Loved your comments. I learned something about the old man in this episode that I did not realize before, even though I have listened to Edgedancer several times already. These will be missed. :'(

I see I'm not the only one to have something of a passing crush on Nale  Anyway, it was a pleasure to listen to you reading and commenting on Edgedancer. Pity there won't be Oathbringer Splintercast, but it's understandable that there are reasons. And now excuse me while I go listen to all the other Splintercasts.

I'm sad and dissapointed that there won't be a splintercast for Oathbringer, or possibly ever (Cant accept this!). In a way, I never expected there to be splintercast for any other works than Stormlight Archive, and was very much looking forward to Oathbringer. It was the main "work" in a way.

However I do understand that regardless of what the real reasons are, it must have taken a lot out of you to do this, I do not think I would have been able to do anything similar (I'm to quiet, and reads very intensly), not to mention, having to wait until alone, and with a microphone.

I mentioned in an earlier comment that I think that it is great to be able to look into the mind of another fan reading the book, and it could maybe be interesting if someone else felt up to the task of doing Oathbringer. This would enable us to get a different set of experiences of the book, widen the perspective so to speak.

But even so, If you would be up to it (depending on the reasons of course), it would be interesting to get splintercast in some light form from you Feather, like comments after chapters, liveblogging, you name it. It's of course up to you, but I personally would like to have some sort of glimpse of a Oathbringer Splintercast in some way.

If this really is the end of Splintercast, Thank you feather for giving so much of yourself to us listening, it has been wonderful!

Aww, you guys have left such nice comments about wanting me to do more Splintercast. I know I'm not going to be able to do OB, but I'd like to try to maybe do some of the other books in the future! It's been wonderful having you guys along on my book journeys with me!

Just want to throw in my two cents -- this was incredibly fun, and while I'm sad there won't be a SA3 Splintercast, I thank you for what you've brought to the community.  

Heads up guys, I was kind of cagey about reasons because I didn't know whether or not I'd be sharing this around, but now I've started telling people, so:

The reason there's no Oathbringer Splintercast is because... I'm an Oathbringer beta reader!

The beta was an amazing opportunity and I'm super grateful to Team Sanderson for letting me help out with this process, but unfortunately, it means there's not really a good way to do a reaction podcast. I couldn't record and take down beta comments at the same time, and the beta drafts change quite a bit from the final version, so there'd be stuff in my reactions that didn't make it into the final draft, which would be weird.

It just wasn't something that would feasibly work out, so unfortunately, Splintercast will not be, at least for this book. However, I can tell you guys this: it's an amazing book and you're all going to love it.

I'm sure the news there would be no Oathbringer Splintercast is disappointing. But I would just like to say that Alyx was a boss on the Oathbringer beta and noticed some things no one else did. Oathbringer would be a worse book if Alyx was not involved. 

So I mean, if the Oathbringer Splintercast had to go to do that, I think that's a fair trade. (That said, hearing her reactions would have been SPECTACULAR.) Sorry again, though

I might end up posting my beta comments somewhere after the book is released, because I still have all those documents. I'll just trim out any that are no longer relevant or don't refer to anything anymore. Rest assured, there's plenty of comments that are simply me informing Brandon that I woke my housemates up screaming or laughing or crying because Renarin is a person that exists sometimes.

Heh, also I can brag about the timeline inconsistencies I caught. Humility is for the weak!

Congratulations Feather that's utterly awesome it's a privilege to read it early but far more it's incredible to be able to actually contribute to the story and wider Cosmere in some small (or large) way! I hope to live such a dream in the next, say, 30 years

Gratz on becoming a beta reader. It's something I'd be interested in, but not for Brandon. The books are too good to spoil like that. And then I'd have to avoid the theory forums to keep from laughing at all our silly ideas.

I only recently realized that the Splintercast is a thing that exists, and have immensely enjoyed burning through every episode as quickly as possible. It's like re-reading my favorite books with a friend, in much less time and without the difficulty of finding someone willing to read a book with me. Plus, your tangents about language (as an amateur conlang-er, I particularly enjoyed those), Renarin, RP-ing, Renarin, Steris, etc., and Renarin are fantastic. You point out aspects of Sanderson's worldbuilding and storytelling which I missed or didn't appreciate nearly as much as I ought to, and HuzzaH for that!

Having found the no-more-Splintercast announcement alarming, it's a huge relief to read that there may yet be further Splintercasts, even if not an Oathbringer 'cast. Congratulations on becoming a beta reader! and many, many thanks for doing all this work so we can experience the Cosmere with you!

I know its a bit late but I need to know if Shallan is forgiven by standing up for Renarin in oathbringer?!
