They exchanged goods for money, which Ayia pocketed. Before she turned to leave, though, the shop owner grabbed her arm.

"I'd watch out if I were you." He whispered. "Flashing a piece as big as that... you just stay on your guard and watch your six."

Ayia nodded. "Right. You watch yourself too."

"Eh. None of those thugs are gonna come for me. But you aren't from around here, so you need to watch out."

"Thanks." She said, pulling away. "Alright, guys; let's bounce."

Eyo, Sprennie! Hope everything's going a-okay.

I worldbuilt your place to make gemstones somewhat worthless and gold incredibly valuable because in a dystopian hypertechy world probably values electronics over pretty stuff.

My person is both confused, and extremely concerned.

"Wait. I followed you guys for a while, and you didn't know. And I have a freaking disability! How do you guys know people are following you?" She said, sounding confused.

Oh craaaap. Do you think they're after me? Columbia thought.

It's possible. I bet there are lots of people who want you dead. Thought Erin.

Wow. That's really comforting. Thought Columbia, who was really annoyed. I love it when people think I'm evil because of forces beyond my control. It's the best.

Oooo shinyyyyy

Tvora, hiding in the Cognitive so nobody notices her, decides it'd be a fun idea to go try to scramble brains. She starts off towards the pursuers at high speed.
