Like I said, theoretically he's stupidly powerful. But he doesn't do nearly as much as he can do. Might just be him trying to keep a low profile, or there might be more limitations that we are aware of

I can't access the quote right now, but at least on Roshar Hoid was unable to give all the info on Odium until Dalinar guaranteed Hoid's safety through the agreement, and this presumably extended to his noninteraction with Odium's forces

The most impressive feats we've seen Hoid do are his vision he gave Kaladin, his absolute unconcerned reaction to Shardblade being pointed at him, and the one time he actually got to fight he utterly curbstomped Kelsier. If his chains get taken off I'm absolutely sure he'd be able to compete with and stomp Heralds or Fullborn but until then I think he has too many limits on him. And knowing Brandon's writing preferences I suspect they aren't self imposed and extend beyond his inability to hurt things

Of course Kelsier not reached Silverlight nor Yolen by hinself, because he is bounded to Scadrial and need to find how to escape. But maybe he indeed knows the way to those places.

BTW. is possible Ghostbloods predates Kelsier - mean he just took over Ghostbloods, not found them.

This makes me wonder. Do we have any hints or WoB on how old the Ghostblood organization is? In all discussions about them, people tend to use timelines based on Kelsier to figure out what they could plausibly be doing / have done. But he just hijacked the organization. For all we know the organization (and its influence) could predate the Shattering. I know the name "Ghostblood" has roots in a specific event. But do we have any idea what or when that event was?

The closest we have is Brandon saying if Kelsier joined the Ghostbloods he would be running them within a year. Whether he really meant that Kelsier joined them or he was just joking is not really known. We do have WoB that the Roshar faction has gotten a little bit away from him. I don't think that this means they are disloyal, just that their methods and outlook might not line up with Kelsier's

Questioner

Are the Ghostbloods good, in your mind, or bad?

Brandon Sanderson

They are neither, in my mind.

Questioner

Does their leader, Thaidakar, affect what they do a lot?

Brandon Sanderson

Yes, but the Roshar branch is a little bit removed from him.
