Okay, okay, good. There was a large group of people around him he could blend in with. He wasn't expecting to be in a pre-existing world, but this works too. At least he wouldn't have to learn a new magic system. Wait- magic!

"I don't know if that is a good idea... I mean, some of the metals, such a cadmium or bendalloy, are highly toxic." She shrugged. "We can try though. I'm not touching any toxic metals at any point."

"Maybe we can find a spike and ask him ourselves. Regardless, I think let's try and find a place to stay. The aluminum will help, but I'll probably have to start work somewhere."

Alex regretted not paying attention during his engineering class last semester. Maybe he could "invent" something, but it would be hard to think of what. They already had incandescent lightbulbs, right? Airplanes would be kind of pointless once they discovered the Southern airships.

She rummaged through her bag, and pulled out her flip phone. "Or we could work with photography. Or, we could introduce Vaccines!" She grinned. "I think I will like living here!"

"I know the theory. You give the virus a host cell, weaken or kill it, and then inject it into the person. For example, if I remember correctly, flu shots are influenza viruses raised in chicken eggs. In don't think flu shots are live virus vaccines, but I could be wrong. To kill it, I assume you could just leave it in an isolated, airtight container for a few weeks, and leave it alone. Then, it wouldn't have a host."
