As Ned grabbed for his spear, his companion quickly settled back into a defensive posture with his spear angled towards the assailant, determined to keep him at a distance where the spear would be more effective than the sword. ---- Caden nodded to the guards who saluted after he gave the passcode to enter into the chamber where they were keeping the King.
