Robin Custos sat in a tree watching over the many children she had saved. Like usual she was wondering about her father. All the clues that pointed to his act of treason were written in a code he had taught her when she was nine, and when she was ten he sent her to be trained as a King's Lady. She was scared, her father was extremely manipulative, and it seemed she couldn't shake off his years of manipulating her. She could be playing into his trap at the moment, becoming who he wanted her to be to fulfill his purpose.

Biana brushed past a lady in a red dress slipping her hand into the hidden pocket that many Lady his in their dresses. She had noticed the lady looking for someone and could see the fear in the lady's eyes and a slight bulge where the hidden pocket was. The lady was most likely here to pay a dept and like Robin taught her she made sure the lady was rich enough that taking the money wouldn't hurt her too much. She had rubies in her hair, so Biana reasoned that the women could pay with her hairpins if necessary. Robin would never take money from someone in dept, but Biana wasn't Robin. Biana cared about Robin and the children hidden in the woods, and she would do whatever it took to protect them.

Arabella smoothed her dress, admiring the soft fabric. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, even if it was only temporary. She tapped a woman wearing a red dress on the shoulder, using it as a distraction to search her pockets, which were empty. Biana had probably already gotten to this woman. She apologized and backed away, continuing her job.

Fadran, how old's the king?

Here's her gown.

Spoiler

Aliénor Lumen Baudelaire, Princess of Jolie and Betrothed to the king of Mendahar, sidled along the wall of the ballroom in her lavish gown. She'd only just come in, and her instincts had immediately kicked in: she ducked her head, looked insignificant, and got out of the way. She was still doing the same thing, trying to get a hold on some of the people in the room before taking it on. It was incredible how people would ignore anything with enough bowing and scraping. Her gown was ridiculously ornate, and yet everyone had passed her by with merely a glance. The maid had insisted on this one, and honestly? Aliénor agreed.

Caden approached the entrance of the King's castle, cursing at the assortment of guests that got in his way. Fortunately, many parted automatically, whether that was because of Caden's presence itself, or that of his two ever constant bodyguards that were at his shoulders, he didn't care. As his boots sounded with a clear clink on the castle's stairs, he made his way to the entrance to find one of those infernally useless doormen asking him for an invitation. Caden only took the time to shout at the man before pushing past him, "fool, get out of my way!"

Right as he pushed through the main door, he noticed that everyone as wearing masks and cursed at himself for forgetting about the masquerade. That would explain the excessive amount of servants. He paused, debating whether or not he should continue before a servant approached him, "sir, it seems you've entered without an invitation. Unless you provide one, I'll have to have you thrown out."

Caden turned to the servant, glaring at him, he then straightened his posture so that he towered over the man. The servant didn't flinch which was impressive on his part, it might have been because of how much older this one was. Caden let out a low growl as he took a slow breath before speaking, "I am Caden Praetorium, surely you have me on your little list." His voice was low, with a gravelly texture.

The servant, recognizing him, pointed to his face, "my lord, since this is a masquerade, you must be wea-"

Caden swung a hand at the servant in anger, purposely not hitting anything. "Bah! You're wasting my time, servant!" Caden turned around, flared his cape, and walked into the ballroom straight through the crowd, smiling to himself as people moved to get out of his way. He went directly to the King's table, and then bowed from his waist down at the king, "my lord, I have returned!"

Okay, I'll make Aliénor... hmm. Does 22 seem too young?

Edit: Fadran, I'm disappointed. Your character sheet is sadly lacking. Mind if I help you out? You should at least have a last name.

Everyone knows that kings don't have last names. They may or may not have their family name as a title, but that's a different thing.

Well, the family name or whatever. But really.

I'm drawing Aliénor! She's so pretty. What colour should her gown and tiara be? And should she be wearing her mask?

Golden tiara studded with rubies, and a black dress. And of course she should wear her mask.

A black dress? I was kind of thinking pastels. She's still a princess, after all. So if it had to be pastels, what would you say?

Just the guy who's "affectionately" called "The King's Dog." Effectively, he's a militant noble who's endlessly devoted to King Ivian for a reason that's not publicly known. His character sheet has been put in the first post of this chat if you want more details. He's the guy who gets sent off to deal with any open insurrections against the king.

Caden looked up and spoke in his gravelly voice, "the traitor is dead, and all of his followers have been scattered. If they ever gather again, they'll be swiftly crushed once more."
