"That's bad news. Incendiary means fire. And I'm not losing this lair."

Isn't the lair a stone cave?

"I simply hope there aren't any explosives. Fire does barely anything to my minions- but explosions can gib a massive group of them. Bah, this is why I avoided higher-tech worlds." Meanwhile, a large steam of zombies begin to flood towards the entrance.

Kaesiel smoothed down her hair, pulling a large metal plate from her bag. “This may help. It’s a sort of... shield, I suppose. Very rudimentary. Turn it on, and any nonorganic matter not being worn or carried passing through it will be instantly vaporized.” Kaesiel began pumping Notion from herself into the device, charging it up. “It can’t last long, Probably only a round or two of heavy fire.”

"Ooh, interesting." A small group of zombies walks over, grabs the plate and begins to hold it up to the entrance as the rest of the army gathers behind and to the side.

“There are two copper wires on the back. Touch them together and it should activate. Fair warning this one is small, it’ll only cover about fifteen cubic meters.”

Yes, but there's stuff in the lair that can be burnt. Did you really think Concerto's bedroom was as bad as all y'all's? ;)

The piercing sound of gunfire came from the entrance as the fire-teams approached the entrance, trying to force their way through the undead horde. Not soon after it had begun, the gunfire started to quicken in pace, and grown in volume as if larger weapons were being employed. Suddenly, the hissing of flames being thrown from weapons could be heard as the entrance lit up with with a flickering orange light.

After a short moment, the hissing of the flames began to recede, as if they were growing more distant. As the fire-teams began to be pushed back, a voice came over the radio. "Request confirmed Hodak, A-10 Thunderbolts are en route. Clear the area for immediate air support." As soon as the voice finished speaking, there was a sudden burst of flames as the fire-teams attempted to create a make-shift barrier out of the fire before pulling back from the entrance.

"No, I don't have a secret exit. Of course I have a secret exit! It'll only work if you're a cheetah, though.

"Am I small enough?" Cilliss asked.

She's tall, but really skinny.

"I doubt it's because of size, girl. She probably has like sawblades or something that you have to go fast enough or you get shredded. Or who knows, perhaps it's a magic thing that only lets cheetahs through. Either way, we need to get out of here. Think, cat, is there any other possible way we can escape?"

“I could blast us a hole. It won’t be subtle, but it will get us out.”

"Fine. Just do it on the opposite side of the mountain, so perhaps it takes a moment for then to realize what's happening."

"Out the entrance." Concerto grinned, exposing sharp teeth.

Kaesiel walked to the far end of the cavern. “All right, what I’m doing is Manifesting a microscopic lattice of carbon tubes between the atoms of stone, thus creating nanoscale fissures that destabilize the rock and make it vulnerable to further forces applied. This can get explosive, and may take a few minutes, so it would be best if you all stand back and try to delay for me.”

Kaesiel laid her hands on the wall, Manifesting outward the Notion she had taken from the Necromancer earlier. A large section of the wall began to shake as dust and chunks of rock broke free.

"I don't speak insane science person." She said.

The fire flickered, blowing outwards from where the wind came from. However, the fire seemed to be fixed to the location.

Y sucked all the air from the area.

As the air withdrew from the area, the flames began to die down until they were practically nothing. Once the flames were down, a gel-like substance was revealed to be coating the ground where the flames were.
