Marie ran through the commands in her head, considering. "If it lets me kill and move freely? Be my mental guest."

Kelsier smiled, further compounding his Connection to Marie, then reaching out with a powerful Soothing. For a moment he could sense the woman in the back of his mind, held her will in the palm of his hand.

Then he let her go.

Have fun, he sent her, landing nearby. Aloud, “Care for a partner?” He casually slammed his dagger through the chest of a fleeing man.

These people had tried to kill Zola. They weren’t leaving alive.

"Fine by me," Marie said after a moment of processing the internal changes. [insert post where she kills a guy to make the timeline not weird]

Kelsier smiled. “Right or left?” He pushed the pegs of a nearby tent, causing it to lift up and envelop a trio of criminals. He shook his head in mock disappointment, pulling one of the pegs back toward himself, then pushing and pulling it back and forth repeatedly to impale the men struggling to free themselves.

He caught the bloody peg as it returned, then sent it flying again to impale a woman raising a gun in shaking hands. She fell, the peg already moving to impale another.

Hey mathiau, if/when Adilie reapplies the orders, could she forget the one about not telling people about Hemalurgy? I'd like to talk to Ladashwy about it, if Random's up for it

The Rosharan system has twice the number of planet as the Drominad one^^

Right now unless Kel signal Adilie he removed the "don't hurt me" part I don't see any reason she'd survive long enough for it to matter but okay^^

That writer moment when you have a phrase you really wanna slip in somewhere but you can't figure out a non-awkward way to do it: "his eyes in a permanent wink - no that's bad. as she met his eye and spike, face permanently winking - okay maybe this is just trying too hard"

I'm fairly certain I got the Hemalurgy right here, but if I missed something lmk.

"Do as you wish. I have someone to find," Marie said to the revolutionary, an ecstatic smile breaking over her face. She nodded to him, dropped a coin, and took off.

After a minute of flying around, peppering the people below with metal, her bronze at last caught on the distinctive pulse of tin. Excellent. She tracked it to the side of a firepit at the other end of the camp, where most people were hurrying to grab what they could and either run away or dive into the fight. The fighters she could respect a little. Perhaps some of them also gloried in shedding blood; likely most just wanted to know what was going on, and thought whatever was attacking them was a threat that could be stopped. Amusing, but then, they didn't know - and even when you did know it was beyond you, most people still tried to fight. (A younger Marie had, when the Inquisitors shut the door and came at her.)

She hit the Tineye from above, crashing her into the dirt. The woman clearly had no chance against an Inquisitor, but she did her best anyway - flared her metal, as though it'd help; clawed and kicked wildly. Marie administered a pewter-burnt slap to the head, stunning her, and flipped the Tineye over, holding the body in a parody of a lovers' embrace.

Then she stabbed it through the heart with the steel tent spike, shoving it deep into her own ribs.

The two of them were both screaming as one, pain and joy intermixed. Marie tapped a little gold and dropped the woman, whose shrieks were already giving out, substituted by sobbing and coughing up blood. Marie put a coin through her skull as a mercy, then walked a few feet away, focusing on the new part of her. A pouch of tin dust tore out of the former Allomancer's pocket, soaring to Marie's hand. She poured some into her mouth, licked extra off her lips, and started burning the new reserve as soon as she became aware of it.

The freshness! The clarity! Marie laughed, drunk with a blood fervor and the feel of a new metal in her stomach. Throbbing pain seemed to connect all her spikes, her spiritweb lighting up with Investiture. Her own cackle sounded loud in her ears.

And Harmony whispered to her, What have you done?

Something was wrong.

Adilie wasn't sure what but she felt something was wrong with her connection to Marie

Harmony, er... I'm sorry to bother you for something that's probably just me getting afraid for nothing, but I feel like something is wrong with Marie, could you please check if everything alright?

Kelsier waved as Marie flew off. Then he returned to the fight, a wild grin on his face. He flung himself back into the air, then pulled on the tent spikes.

He slammed back in to the ground, pewter flairing, a whirlwind of mist and metal swirling about him. For a moment he could almost pretend he was somewhere, somewhen, else, fighting in a world of mist and ash.

Not that this was much of a fight. Meens’ men were decent enough, Kelsier supposed, but they weren’t up to facing a Mistborn, let alone a Fullborn. Forget a Fullborn and an Inquisitor. In mere moments he’d eliminated his half of the camp. From the screams the other side emitted, he could assume Marie was having a similarly successful time.

Shrugging, he released his makeshift weapons, allowing them to drop to the bloody ground, before heading back to find Marie.

Ladashwy watched with awe as her two companions killed off the people in the camp. What the rusts am I doing here? I'm not a fighter! She sighed. Well, as long as I am here, I should take notes. She started taking notes of what they could do, and soon had a large list of their skills and techniques. She missed a lot of what they were doing, and had to start tapping speed to keep up with what they were doing at all.

Kelsier wandered through the wreck of the camp. He nodded at Sage as he passed her. She was taking notes again, he noted. He’d have to get her some copper.

He found Marie standing over a bloodied corpse, a hole through the body’s chest. Interesting. He hadn’t expected the Inquisitor to give herself another spike, opening herself to further risk.

He raised a brow. “A tent peg? Interesting choice. What did you steal?”

@AonEne Kelsier frowned at the lack of response. “Marie?” he asked, concern seeping into his voice. He reached out to her, compounding their Connection and felt something - someone - familiar blocking him.

Ah.

“Hello, Saze.”

Eryn awoke as the sun began to rise. She shivered, quickly tapping her bronze to warm herself back up.

Her master had yet to return, it seemed. Well, he could always find her if he needed her. The child needed clothes.

Ladashwy looked up, and furrowed her brow. Is something wrong? Something seems to be wrong... Should I try to help? No. I'd just get in the way... Wouldn't I? Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. Taking a deep breath, she stood up. Well, this is taking me out of my comfort zone. What should I say? I'm not good in this sort of situation. She walked over to Kelsier and Marie, feeling confused. Her face showed her confusion completely. She went to speak, but then stopped. Rusts! This is so awkward. Why am I so awkward? "Uh... Is everything okay over here?" She said, both confused and slightly nervous.

Kelsier shook his head slightly, his expression uncharacteristically stern. “Stay back, Sage. You don’t want to get in the midst of this.” His eyes, true and steel, never left Marie’s face.

”I can’t imagine,” he said softly, “that it makes you happy. Holding her; controlling her. I don’t believe,” The Survivor said, voice gentle, but recriminating, “that the man who defied his people for a chance at freedom would be so quick to steal it from another. Are you still that man Saze?”
