Neither is trying to take down a thousand year emperor and its god-king. Or trying to bring back blue skies and flowers. Logic told us we couldn’t defeat Ruin, either. Hope... Faith... Turns out those can be stronger than logic, sometimes. ”Belief is a choice, Sage,” he continued, gazing seriously at her. “So is hope. Logically, the Final Empire should never have fallen. I put my hope in the faith of people and put my faith in the hands of my crew. And the Final Empire fell. ”Hope and faith defy logic. Maybe that’s why they can allow us to do the impossible.” He smiled, meeting Sage’s eyes, allowing her to see the echo of eternity that hid in his real one, a remnant of his time as a Shard. “You don’t need to believe Sage. I just realized that I may be making her a bit more broken than I originally intended... She nodded, and thought over his words. But, I'm not talking about being a psychopath, I'm talking about being free from any emotion at all! It's different... right? I mean, Psychopaths still can feel, but it's just at a different level. She sat thinking for a while. Just because I have emotions doesn't necessarily mean that I will break. It just means that I can. I won't let myself break. I won't.

She has read enough that she knows the difference between no emotions, and psychopathy, as well as learning from personal experience. She shrugged. "I don't know. I..." she sighed.
