So she'd try to keep from singing anything. He looked for scorch marks on the ground, and claw marks on signs. He asked people if they had seen a strange burning fire-bird around. They always looked at him as if he were crazy. He knew he wasn’t; he couldn’t have imagined something so crazy that would kill his brother.
