I'm sorry to interrupt, but it probably won't help you learn how to use mod powers, since only mobs understand their powers. You could say that being adopted by ene is worth it anyway, so I won't judge.

And @Ookla the Intimidating, she needn't intimidate you. All she have to do is intimidate us, the common folk, and... Tries to imagine Lunamor's pic with a mustache, speaking like batman nope, sorry. It's just seem funny to me, probably because I watched too much of HISHE's videos with batman.

But if one of my parents is really intimidating, then by associating that makes me intimidating! Why? Because I’m Batman.

@Aspiring Writer, you’re right, sorry for derailing the thread!

All right. So from what I understand, this magic system, called Fumeweaving, works like this: there are six ribbons, called fumes, that hover around a Fumeweaver. It is unknown yet how many Fumeweavers exist. Each fume has it's own color, based on the colors of the rainbow (apparently, Fadran don't believe in the seventh color. Can't blame him). Each fune has, theoretically, it's own effect, though it's easier to describe how they react together. The fumes become more visible or less so in relation to the 'weaver's (that's shorter. Is that fine calling them that?) feelings. The 'weaver mixes the fumes in a certain ratio to cast a spell and achieve a certain effect, and it is unknown whether when using the same ratio with bigger or smaller amounts the effect of the spell will be the same or not. To change the effects, though, the ratio needs to be massively changed, if I understand correctly. After being used, a fume would be weaker (I guess it depends on the amount used), and will recharge on it's own, using either the 'weaver's nutritions or dyes of the same color of said fume, when given. A 'weaver could also supercharge the fume with a dye. It is unknown whether or not the fumes have a natural normal amount they stop recharging upon the 'weaver's nutritions at.

@Ookla the Channelknight, did I miss something, or misunderstood something? About the last part I'll probably ask next in the RP.

I'm just gonna give you a ninja emoji and call it a day.

Well, new additions to our knowledge! Every fume is naturally charged at two doses, when a dose is the minimal amount to cast a spell with only one fume. A standard spell, though, uses more than one fume, and so, only a part of a dose is used. It is unknown how many doses a standard dye adds, or how the purity of said dye affects the amount charged.

Is there a spell for summoning butterflies? I feel like this magic system needs one. Plus I really wanna summon butterflies.

So far, we only know this magic system to be capable of changing the substance of a wooden bed.

And apparently, a 'weaver can also make his fumes more visible by just concentrating, without using any part of them!

Newton was a total hack (Thanks for that, Melody). Everyone knows that indigo isn't real. Brown and pink are more colors than Indigo, and they're literally just different shades of colors.

Six distinct colors. You haven't heard the last of 'The Hexachroma rant'.

This is exactly why I wrote I can't blame him. Don't blame me for bothering to mention it.

BTW, @Ookla the Channelknight, about the feelings in your fumes, may I humbly (I can try being humble, at least) offer some of the Centers of my magic system? It's in my signature. Of course, this is only if you haven't built that part yet. I have there Longings and Fear, which can work, though the other Centers, Change and Thought, aren't as good.

So, nothing was going on in this thread for about a month, and so I thought I might as well try and bring it back to life.

Sadly, no further research was done into Fumeweaving (@Channelknight Fadran, are you still playing in the LGFAD RP? It's just that I don't believe you said you did, but it seems so), but I can still bring up some things I wanted to write! So, I'm (theoretically) working on a story right now which will be in the world of the magic system in my signature - the thread is called Faunologos, in case you want to check and can't see the signature. I don't want to write about that here, though, because I'm throwing around things about this in other places (for example, my status updates). So instead, I'll bring up an old idea of mine, that @Tesh's dragon story helped resurface.

The idea was of a dragon that became a lawyer. My plan for the story was somewhere along these lines: a knight goes to save a fair maiden from a dragon, only to realize said maiden was the dragon's daughter, who's a little sick of her father. The father dragon turns out to be noble by law - the king gave him lands to rule on. He then proceeds to tell the poor knight about how he got to his position, which started with a villager suing him for eating his sheep. The dragon came to court when invited out of amusement that someone actually dared doing that, and after losing in the court he decided to become a lawyer and enforce legal rights for dragons, which in the end led to him being given a noble title.

This might not be the best of ideas, but it sounded funny when I first thought of it. What do you think?

(Also, Fadran and Tesh, sorry for tagging you. I hope I didn't bother you too much.)

Edit: apparently, this is my 301st post. Since I missed my 300th post - I'll count this one as the special post instead.

I guess I'm technically still in that RP, but I have posted there in ages.

Cool story idea!

I'd probably read this. It sounds like it could be really funny.

Currently stressing with all the work that has been piling up. Should be going back into writing in... maybe a week?

I’ve made a new year’s resolution to write 1900 words a week. So far so good!

Impressive.

I mean... it only works out to about a paragraph a day. Which is more than I would normally do, but still, only about half an hour a day.

1900 words is a paragraph? Do you mean chapter?
