"Well..." Davey hesitated. "They're... running from something. Someone. A teacher, I think she said?" He glanced to his companion for support.

"Yeah." Alex continued. "Some kind of... magical teacher? Apparently her magic has to do with her hair. And the other one can just... vanish at will."

Myrna thought for a second. "It seems like they can fend for themselves. Why help them?"

"I... don't know. I never thought of that before. I guess I just assumed they use them for stuff, like we do. Oh!" Davey suddenly recalled the metallic box, forgotten amidst the excitement of the new arrivals. "I almost forgot. We found a new UP today. Not the people- before they showed up. It's some sort of safe."
