Just now, Channelknight Fadran said:

"You need to give them time to let their anger cool a little. After that, I'll make a deal."

Vivace scoffed - but something seemed to be caught in her throat.

Leave him alone, Chorale said, withdrawing again.

Ahead of them was a large grassy plain, but the grass wasn't the right color. It was a deep, aquamarine-like blue. On this plain, a small village sat tucked between two hills.

1 hour ago, Channelknight Fadran said:

"Just a warning, Vivace: these people do enjoy lynching amals."

Val nervously pulled her hood up.

Aerith placed himself between her and the villagers. "I come in peace!"

"We don't want you here," one of them growled, "get out or we'll kill ya!"

"No can do, remember?" Aerith nodded back from the way they came. "The portal closed a few minutes ago. We can't leave until next Monday. And you can't kill us anyway."

"We can kill those companions of yours," he replied.

"Wanna bet?" Vivace smirked.

Val nervously pulled her hood up.

Pior came up behind Val, putting a hand onto her shoulder protectively. "Don't worry 'bout it, hot eyes over there has this in control."

Val smiled slightly, but it disappeared quickly after the villagers threatened them.

In response to their threatenings, Pior took out his Sword Staff and began to do minor maintenance work on it, seemingly taking no notice of the mob as he stood next to Val.

"Well, strange may not be the right word... but the way you maneuvered him was something alright"

Another double post, almost like I have no sense of shame.

It seems that I've scared off Goat again, that one's on me.

"They're thinking it over," Aerith whispered. "These folks aren't exactly smart."

"Well, I hope they do it fast," she grumbled.

"I see, now tell me about my friend Ewald, what did you see?"

"I saw that he hates the Amal with a passion... and that he betrayed his friends."

Kuno nodded, "Yes, he's very zealous about the cause; it's both an excellent asset, and a dangerous liability." Kuno kept talking as he walked, "he had to do some rather 'distasteful' things in order to secure his power base here. I worry often that he doesn't have what it takes to help me fo what must be done. How loyal do you feel he is?"

"I believe that he is fairly loyal. I think that he would betray you if he thought it would protect humankind." Fie cocked his head and stopped walking. "Do you really have that many troops?"

"On the way? Yes. My only hope is that it will be enough when they come for this town. As I said before, I used to be alone in my goal, but no longer." Kuno tilted his head curiously, "what other questions do you have?"

"How do the amal threaten the world?"

"That's easy my friend, they mean to kill all of humanity. Now if you're wondering how the amal, whom I assume you've never seen more than two or three at once, plan on killing all of humanity, then that's a better angle on the question. The amal are more numerous than we give the credit for, but more importantly, they are organized. If humanity wants to stand a chance, then we must organize as well. In total, we outnumber the amal; you wouldn't believe that because we're so disorganized and separated. My plan is to change that."

"That... makes sense. I also have another question. Are there other groups against us as well as the Amal?"
