xino, I just had the greatest entrance idea ever. If you followed me around and eventually to the inn, Chorale could catch you(or not, I mean whatever) and she wouldn't think you were too suspicious. I think Chorale's going to end up with a team whether she likes it or not! :)

By the way, I edited my last post. Ene, here you go! You don't have to know, you could just be a random Amal, but given that phoenixes are predators(right?), you'd probably be at least a little dark.

Chorale walked closer to the bubble. "Who are you and where's my brother?"

I wasn't imagining that phoenixes were predators, but they can be. That's one of the reasons why she's so young - I wanted her to be redeemable. She's not that dark yet.

"What? What are you talking about?" She pressed her hands against the inside of the bubble furiously. "You're the one who just attacked me unprovoked!"

*gasp*

"We all know you're the Amal who's been attacking this settlement after dark, and if you're not, you're affiliated with Concerto. Where is he?" hissed Chorale, trying to keep her voice down.

Oh, you edited it in.

Amals are bad. It's just conditioning.

Um, you know that this has potentially really bad allegorical implications, right? "The minority is conditioned to be evil, they're all evil animals, all of them are terrorists, I was right to attack you unprovoked because You Look Threatening"...I'm starting to get mildly concerned

Please excuse my language aaaaah puns

"This place is being attacked? Eito! You have no evidence that it's me!"

Yes. This world... Yeah. Just so everyone knows, this is not my suggestion for what Earth should be like. ;)

They don't like newcomers much.

Chorale decided that the frontal approach wasn't working well. She stepped back and let the bubble fall. "I'm sorry," she offered. Once the Amal had let down its guard, she would follow it. But to do that, she would need to get the Amal to let down its guard. "I should have realized that the attacker wouldn't come inside the very settlement it was attacking. Is there anything I can do to apologize?"

"You can leave me be and never assault me again," offered Ativa, glaring. She whipped in the other direction and stormed through the market.

Chorale shrugged and turned back toward the wall. Hopefully the Amal wouldn't leave until the morning when she could find her again. She walked up the stairs on the inside of the wall, looking for some guards.(Anyone want to be on the wall?)

I volunteer

A man is walking along the wall, casually looking towards the city and appearing to be lost in thought.

Not very far behind the man is walks another person, a woman this time, following him, and watching the surroundings suspiciously.

"'Scuse me," calls Chorale. "Are you one of the guards here?"

Upon Chorale's approach, the woman following catches up and attempts to block Chorale. The man looks up and smiles at Choral. He has a delightful twinkle in his grey eyes.

"Me? No my dear, I'm not a guard. I'm just a man. Now don't mind Catorphia." He gestures to the woman who stands between him and Chorale. "She's always been a tad over protective of me."

He starts to move as if he's walking away.

"Well, may I ask who you are, then?" Chorale steps forward, ignoring the woman.

Catophia responds with a glare while trying to keep her between Chorale and the man.

"Oh me? I'm an Idealist, I guess that you could say. But I assume you want my name."

"No, I heard that you were Catophia. I was asking him."

I forgot to mention, Catophia didn't speak, it was the man. Catophia hasn't spoken the entire time.

The man's smile returns, this time with a slightly mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Funny thing, names. You may call me Kuno if you wish, although i suppose there's nothing stopping you from calling me whatever you want, besides possibly Catophia, she's not fond of people referring to me with profanity."

"Chorale." Chorale felt impatient, but she didn't allow it to show on her face.

"Interesting name, but is it rightfully given. The second question, where do you come from Chorale?"

Kuno looks expectingly at Chorale.
