I let out a breath. "Yeah. You're probably right. Like... that one book." I scratch my head. "I don't remember what it's called. Anyways..."

Taking off the amulet, I--

Taking off the amulet, Ellis stuffed it in his pocket and let out another breath. "Kay. I... thought it might be useful, but it's probably better to keep it safe."

"Okay!" Melody reached over her shoulder and grabbed the hilt, pulling it out of the sheath. However, the sword was too long: the tip got stuck in the scabbard and Melody's arms were not long enough to draw it any further. "It's a little long..."

A woman approached. She had white hair, silver eyes and seemed almost to glow. She stopped and knelt at Melody's feet.

"You have come to free us at last," she said.

The woman shook her head. "However you got the sword, it has chosen you now... I can feel your bond to it. To you, it is a weapon capable of ending a god. To anyone else, it is simply a sharp stick."
