"What if we stole it from you?"

Y threw back her head and laughed.

"Try," she snarked. "I dare you."

Ellis gripped his sword. "I'm only trying if you fight fair. Don't use that crystal--whatever it is it can do."

[xinoehp512 he/him]

"Fine," said Y, who couldn't use the crystal anyways.

[Channelknight Fadran]

"Do you have any terms of your own?" Ellis asked, suddenly very... anxious. A nagging itch was slowly prying at his head. Was it the fact that they were this close to getting Q and Gerald back? Or was it something else?

"You could fight with both hands behind your back if you want," suggested Y. "It wouldn't change the outcome much, though."

[Channelknight Fadran]

"What is the outcome you had in mind?"

"Your death," said Y simply, shooting a dagger at him.

[Channelknight Fadran]

Ellis batted it aside with his sword, a bead of sweat forming on his brow. He fell into the stance that Q had taught him, trying--and failing--to calm himself.

Y curved the dagger around with the wind and stabbed towards his back.

[Channelknight Fadran]

He ran forwards, unaware of her retaliation. Ellis ran towards Y, raising his blade--then jerked to the left and chopped downwards. Right then, the dagger slashed across his arm, sending white sparks into his eyes and blinding pain through his bicep. His attack missed horrendously, and for the second time that day, his white shirt was stained red.

Y flicked the dagger towards his ear.

Darting around the projectile, Ellis made a second strike at Y's head.

A fierce gust of wind pulled Y backwards away from Ellis's strike. She flicked another dagger at him.

Ellis continued pressing her, running at her relentlessly.

Y pushed back at him with winds.

Of course she has magic. Ellis growled at himself, bracing himself against the winds. And of course I don't.

Y yawned and flicked a dagger at Ellis.

Am I that much of a pushover? Ellis narrowly avoided the dagger. And where the heck is she getting all of these?

Please do.  I have no idea how they're supposed to get the dream crystal, either- Y's way too powerful for them to face her head on. I was intending for it to be an ambush...

A figure jumped out behind Ellis from practically nowhere, unsheathing his long, curved silver blade to deflect the dagger to the ground. Sheathing it quietly, he stared at Y with dark blue eyes. Cocking his head at her, his long stark white hair fell to the side, almost falling out of the tail he'd put it in before jumping in. The man rose, brushing his jacket off before looking at Ellis.

"Ellis," he said, his voice sounding a tiny bit deep, "tell me that you're not as incompetent as you seem and you can do something else than dodge."

Y narrowed her eyes, channeling the wind to throw all three thrown daggers at the man.
