Idk if you've noticed, but we're all trapped in a cage on the ceiling and being lowered into a pit of alligators.

As a matter of fact, I did not notice. Thank you for bringing my attention to that. Just... give me a minute to do rl stuff, write, and then I'll get back to ya.

The old man placed the package on the floor, nudged it slightly as if to correct it's position, and then he nodded, satisfied. "Well, now that is done." He then whipped out a knife and cut open the package, pulling out a strangely colored Discus. He then got into position, and twirled, hurling it so that it smacked against the cage's bars, shattering the discus and the bars on impact. "Ah, is that a big enough whole for you?"

"Thank you!" Ellis looked down. "Is there anything you can do about the alligators?

"Nope!" The man turned around and started to walk out the door.

"Enough chit-chat!" called the octopus. "Pull the lever, Capodoto!"

Again, the crocodiles appeared, gnashing and grinding and chomping. Slowly, the ceiling began to lower into the pit...

"And, now, to conquer the tri-state area this pitiful subverse! Undead- and unalive- you know what, just un- army, move out!"

There was a series of thuds as the un- army began to march.

Melody's eyes widened. This is so not happening right now. I must be dreaming! Nothing else could be this odd.

Ellis began struggling against his bonds, wincing whenever he looked at the approaching crocodiles. "Alright, Melody! I said I was glad to have met you before, but this is the perfect time to tell you that I'm really glad I met you!"

@Ookla the Grammatical

"Yeah, same! Only problem is, I would have preferred it if we could have stayed in my garden!"

"ALIGATORS!!!" Ellis shouted. "STOP TRYING TO EAT PEOPLE!!!"

The old man returned through the door. "Actually, I just remembered right as I walked out that I have a rope in the box. Now that's rather embarrassing," the old guy hit himself in the side of his head in a playful manner. "Do you guys need a rope?"

"Yes please!"

Toss me the idol, I'll toss you the whip!

"Toss me the end!"

"Ah yes, that makes sense." The old man tossed one end of the rope towards Melody.

Melody caught it and tied it to the cage. "Okay, now tie your end to something secure."

"Ah, not much here, but let's see then."  The old man fastened the rope to a large and thick pillar. He pulled on it to test if it would hold. "Ah, Seems good enough for me."

"Okay, I'll try." Melody took a tight grip on the rope, closed her eyes, and shoved off of the cage.

The old man put his hand over his eyes, "I can't watch." He then peaked through his fingers.

*peeked

Melody screamed and let go of the rope when she deemed herself far enough.
