Rlyan didn't respond, and was frozen in place.

"Rlyan? RLYAN?" Whooshi said panicking. "I'm going to get help. you'll have to run. got it?"

Whooshi went off without farther response. Probably to crescendo, except he couldn't find her. 

The creatures continued to creep towards him, twitching and shuffling.
