Okay, I don't feel like Dustbringers would get their most destructive powers on the Second Ideal, but I also want Crescendo to have Division now so I can experiment with it, so pretend she said the Second Ideal before she got to the Academy and is about to say the Third Ideal.

I also didn't want to say an actual Ideal just in case it was super wrong, so I skipped it. I was going to say something like, "I will strive to master my emotions and keep them from distracting me."

Crescendo walked back into her room and sat on the bed. "You're sure it's time for me to say it? What if I'm not ready?"

"I can feel that you're ready. If you weren't, I wouldn't be encouraging you to figure it out."

"Okay." Crescendo searched herself, going deeper than she had before.

 

A minute later, she stood, glowing. "I--I did it," she said, awed. She reached for the doorknob, wanting to go show the others, but stopped herself. What if they were scared of her now? It was well and good when she only had a bit of the Surge of Abrasion, but what if now that she had the Surge of Division they were scared? Better if they didn't know.

Ros returned to his room once again contemplating, looking rather frustrated. He prepared for the night, and right before retiring, he pulled out the Spanreed again, writing to the other side.

"My good Brightlord, I hope that you are doing well. I must say that . . ."

He only conversed with the other side for half an hour before finally deciding to retire for the night, hoping that tomorrow, he would take more action.

Once Crescendo had stopped glowing with Stormlight, she exited her room to see if anyone else was still awake.

Asher sat up. He couldn't sleep. He just had too much energy. He sucked stormlight in and slid along the floor, then jumped onto his bed, bouncing. Grinning, he stood up and started bouncing on the bed as quietly as he could.

Crescendo turned her head. "What's that? It almost sounds like..." A grin snuck onto her face and she could barely keep from laughing.

[Vapor she/her]

Sebarial rolled over in her bed, wisely wearing earbuds to block out sound.

Ash smiled mischievously and tried to do a flip, but landed on his back on the floor, still using abrasion and sliding to the door. "Oof," he said loudly, covering his mouth the instant he did.

Asher sucked in stormlight and opened the door, padding down the hall in his stocking feet with his body as a light.

Crescendo heard Asher come out of his room, then she saw a light coming slowly down the hall. She walked into the main hallway, saw him, and pretended that she hadn't heard him. "Oh, Asher! I didn't see you there!"

"Shh," he shushed, louder than her. "I'm going to explore. Where are you going?"

[Condensation she/her]

"I was just wondering if anyone was still up. If you want, I'll show you around!" Crescendo ran over to the banister and slid down, her whispered excitement following her down.

[Vapor she/her]

Asher smiled, his 15 year old face looking 12 in the light. "Okay," he said, hopping on the banister and using abrasion on it, speeding down and crashing at the bottom. "Storms!" he said, then covered his mouth. "Oops, am I not supposed to swear around a lady?"
