You're in luck, there are! Dill, though the jar is pretty close to gone. It's a big jar, though, so "pretty close to gone" is still at least six pickles.

Fox laughs maniacally as she rips the pickles out of the fridge, and goes to consume them in the corner (laughing all the while).

Can I have one?

Fox looks up from her jar at the girl asking the question, a pickle hanging out of her mouth. She searches the pit of the jar's pickle juice for any more pickles, but cannot find any, so she promptly offers the pickle in her mouth. "Do you want this one?" She says holding up the slimy pickle.

Uh, no, I'll pass. Is there any cheddar cheese and strawberry jam?

There was...

Cheddar cheese, yes. No strawberry jam...I think. I'm more curious as to why you asked about those two things at the same time.

"Yes, thank you", I eat the whole pickle.

(What sort of pickle is it anyway?)

I smile, as there is one with good tastes in the room.

It’s fresh crunchy dill, the best kind of pickles ever made

They're delicious together! Have you ever tried it? Oh my gosh, it's amazing.

Isn't that a combo in Ratatouille?

They say yes.

But not just because they are nice. They also secretly like Fadren.

They schedule the date; a little ways into the future, but that's okay.

Fadren is excited, but a little worried; he wants everything to go perfectly, and he's slightly anxious that something will go wrong.

Turns out that his double-date buddy had family visiting that Saturday; they pushed it back a week.

But now everything was in order. The date was only a few days away.

And then...

And then...

Friday, October 9. Fadran receives a text.

"Bad news... they scheduled me for work next Saturday and I can't get off."

Fadren is slightly annoyed that this isn't working out, but doesn't tell anyone. Instead he texts back.

"That's fine! Does the next Saturday work for you?"

It does not.

In fact, he's going to have to wait for well into November.
