Violet Blood

Just started my Stormlight reread for RoW, and I came across something in the prologue.

Kalak notes that blood mixed on the ground, and he notes three colors: red (human), orange (parshendi), and violet. What species has violet blood?

i always thought it was from the Sleepless

some other Fuana on Roshar have Violet blood though.

Chasmfiends and axehounds are two examples

and presuambly some cremlings and what not

Yeah, I'd hazard that a lot of the crustacean-esque animal life has violet blood.

I think we're missing the bigger picture. Sure cremlings probably have purple blood but who is going to stomp on enough crenlings to produce a noticeable amount of blood during a battle. There must have been something larger. Axehounds bred for war? Chulls pulling seige equipment? Larkins?!?

Sleepless bodies are made from cremling-like creatures, so it’s most likely their blood.

Even many cremlings cannot give so many blood. Sleepless are the simplest answer, but this can be something larger. Sleepless are Aimian, after all. What else is from Aimia? Larkins. Or Laceryns, their bigger cousins with similar properties.

I even have theory.

I think chasmfiends have some special involvement in the desolations. Not sure though.

The Sleepless, I think, assuming their hordelings were similar enough with cremlings to have violet blood.
