We were talking about the light, not Remembrance. Tvora likes Remembrance.

Tvora is silent for a moment, then straightens. "The saying goes fight fire with fire. If it's bad, we can try fighting it with Chaos. Or... Order?"

"That's a good idea.  I'm not sure how it would work, though."

I should clarify what "chaotic light" means.

So in my system, light means existence and dark means nonexistence. Order and Chaos mean more or less what you would expect. You combine the two to get a 2x2 grid, of which chaotic light is one corner. (Dyrlings are all chaotic light.)

The colorlessness continued to spread. People don't lose color like objects do, but you feel drained, as though something is sucking up your soul.

So the Fellowship is feeling this, just to make sure I'm clear on things?

Martin frowns.  He feels... weird.  It's like the post-mission crash, but... deeper, somehow.  And even more wrong.  "Hey, does anyone else feel that?"  The words almost but not quite stumble over each other.

Craven shivered. "I don't like it."

Martin shakes his head, and tries to push past it.  He can't.  "I think we might have a problem on our hands."

Craven nodded, feeling his center, where his Breaths seemed to be, grow cold. He scooted closer to Martin. "Yeah."

Is there anything important Craven (or me) should know that happened while he was standing there silently?

Martin pats him on the shoulder.  "Hey, Ayia?"

Not really, mostly just hashing out what was happening a bit, and a bit with Remembrance.  Only a page or so.

Oh snap, if the colorless patch affects Investiture, then that means Remembrance isn't immune to it.

The color of Remembrance's "skin" dims a bit, and it shudders, pushing its sudden discomfort to the group. This is so. I feel it. Let us learn what is going on.

Remembrance gazes into the center of the patch of colorlessness. For a time nothing happens, as if it is contemplating how best to approach this new thing. Remembrance's form begins to recede, its "skin" growing less substantial and dimming even further. Its features disappear as it "steps" in between the Physical and Cognitive Planes, and eventually the only visible part left is a long, thin strand of energy.

Okay, what in Domi is this?

To see, highlight.

Tvora had finally done it. She had vanished completely.

And found herself solid in a world of glass seas and white clouds and black sky and flames without fuel. She sank through the beads, trying to swim for a few moments, then rethought her approach to this place. It was a chaos. She had to Chaos it to get what she wanted.

So she Chaosed it. She ended up on top of the beads, like she wanted.

There was a distortion over where the colors hadn't been, in the other realm. The distortion had reached far, so far that the whole group was feeling its effects. Its tendrils of weakness reached through Tvora's anchor and affected her even here. The flames around her flickered slightly from the influence of the distortion. Remembrance was here too.
