"Okay, here goes." Herate walked out of the cover of the trees and up to the gates of the castle, where she knocked loudly.

Wind slides through a crack in the gate and looks around, carful to stay invisible.

Slowly - as befitted doors of their stature - the gates swung open, allowing Herate to pass through and into the courtyard beyond.

In the center of said courtyard stood the Wyrn. On one side of him, the regular soldiers stood in a row stretching from him to the gate. Opposing them stood the Myrkaal, looking unusually subdued.

"Welcome home, daughter," he said.
