She met Fadran, changed, and became awkward! Simple as that.

Oh, sure, you/your character get(s) all the credit.

He doesn't get all of it, he just claims it all because he wants to. Like a business! Or a politician.

"I think that's what they said." Queen says, businesslike, swearing to herself to not be awkward anymore.

Taln smirks at the sudden change of character by Queen.

Queen notices Taln's smirk, wondering how he, a new member of the group, managed to read her so well when Fadran, probably at least one of her best friends by now, seemed oblivious to her odd moods.

“At my base, on an island almost exactly northwest of Elendel.” An alarm went off on Enter’s backpack, surprising him. “Oh crap oh crap oh CRAP!” He pulled out a sphere - the source of the alarm - that was blinking red. “That means that my base is under attack, and not due to natural causes.”

"Oh, how wonderful." Queen says sarcastically. "Can't we just make it somewhere safely and easily for once?"

Fadran doesn't have an answer to this, other than the fact that he doesn't understand things like girls, attraction, or a mixture of the two.

Spoiler

Icona laughs in I'm dead but Fadran is still hilariously oblivious to things.

"Then let's get going!" Fadran summons his Channelblade. "Not a moment to lose!"

And why is Fadran answering this in the first place? It's in Queen's subconscious...

"Right. I forgot about that." He gets out a map and compass and, seconds later, finds their direction. "We need to go that way!"

As Nath offered himself up as a trade, the Fox whispered "no...". This was the same mistake Alice had made. Then he turned, and instructed the Fox to rid herself of her mind demons. Of Autumn. The Fox felt the warm light being poured into her. She took a deep breathe in, "I-I don't know how, Nath. I don't think I can do it on my own, at the least. Ever since... ever since Alice died, one demon or another has been in control. I wouldn't know how to live without them."

"That's right, dearie," Autumn piped in. "You need us."

"And you can't possibly give yourself to Winter, please, you can't! I won't allow another to be punished so that I may live. I have run my course, I know that. There is little left for me to live for. There is none who loves me, and none that I love. I do not contribute much to the fellowship, heck, I almost stabbed you guys when I came in. You have the power to save many. You have the ability to influence the fellowship in all the right ways, I do not. You are more honorable than I, they-they need you! And perhaps..." She lowered her voice. "Perhaps we can..." She pointed her thumb at Winter, and slid her finger across her neck, hoping to be discreet.

@KyL

I don't react to Fox's fairly obvious gesture. I shoot the demon a dark look  that could shatter a wall of steel before returning my gaze to Fox it softens pain etching itself deeply. I believed as you do for 11 millennia. I failed a friend, a brother, a son, a student. I let him be banished until the end of time for my stupidity." Tears start sliding down my face. "I ran from this demon his shadow holding me in a suffocating embrace. I could never escape him. I would close mt eyes and there he was accusing me. I sealed myself away so that I could escape him and never fail anyone ever again. It did not help. It made things so much worse. I thought that I deserved to suffer and so I did. How could I ever move beyond this? Alone I could not. As I battled it in this place I was not alone you were there Fox as were the other members of the Fellowship. My battle was doomed from the start. Yet I fought anyway and now I can live knowing that the demon exists, but has no more power over me. You are not alone. You have the fellowship and me." I send a concentrated ingot of light through our bond. I will it to stay with her and not dissipate. "That Ingot is yours it is of me. Even if I should be trapped here I will be with you always. You need not know how to control your past you only need to live each moment as the sovereign of your past." My tears continue to fall. I am not being punished I am giving you and the others a chance. It is not true Fox that none love you Fox. Even if you don't know them they are there. The Fellowship cares for you and in so short a time Fox I have grown to care for you in ways I have not for so long. You will learn to love in time this I promise you." My voice remains strong despite the tears. You bring humanity to the Fellowship Fox. Your power is greater than any magic that I have ever known. I left my friend to die my honor is very much in question. They need you Fox. You ground them. You remind them why they fight. You threaten to stab them with your knives. They don't have that happen every day." My tears slow.

WInter sighs, wiping his blood covered hands on a fedora.

Two bodies fall to the floor, their severed heads hitting the ground a moment later.

"Ah, I gave you all a chance, but apparently you don't value your lives."

He tossed the fedora to the floor, his deep eyes gleaming.

"Fox. Take your knife, kill him." (Nath)

The Fox's tears found their way to the surface once again. She gazed into his eyes. She wasn't sure if she believed what Nath said about her, about her being loved, and about her being strong, but she did believe that he was being sincere. People were... not often sincere. The Fox valued his sincere words as if they were gold.

The Fox gasped as her brother's head rolled across the floor toward her. Her eyes rose to meet Winter's as he commanded her to kill Nath. She was so shocked by it, that her jaw dropped, and she stood staring at him for a few moments, before regaining her voice and stammering, "wh-what?!"

"Kill the one who calls the wind. He is vulnerable, do it now. He tries to speak to you of love, when he himself has never truly felt it. And that is why he deserves to die."

Jared ran towards the rapidly closing portal, but he wasn't quite quick enough to make it before it closed.

No matter, however. Portals like this always left a trace. All he had to do was reach out, grab it...

...and step.

***

Without warning, Jared flashed into existence in front of the group, red blade outstretched.

There you are, he said. I've been looking for you.
