Let's put it this way. He is fairly undeveloped, because he is a hypothetical what if of a race in one of my series' mixed with me. The race is developed this character less so. I know his inherent powers and not much else.

Okay, then. Throw up the yellow tape! Form the police barrier! Ladies and gentlemen, it is godmodding time!!!

Fadran takes the note, nodding. "You needn't lower your mental barriers. By willingly giving me your Spirit, you have also willingly let me in. Perhaps you should leave them up; one never knows what creatures they'll encounter in Shadesmar."

He fingers the paper, then Forges a Spirit Bond to it. Instantly, Fadran found himself being overwhelmed by the sheer power and knowledge of Nathrangking. He had expected a flood of such--after all, there had been one when he had first Bonded to Icona--but expectation could not so easily prepare a mind for such vastness.

"There is... a lot here." Fadran begins. "So much that it would take any regular person a million lifetimes just to see it all. There are parts of your essence and being so ancient that you have forgotten them. Friendships, enemies, love, hate, happiness... loss. Some of these happened so many eons ago that if I told you them now, you wouldn't remember them, and only dismiss them as fantasy.

"However, amongst all this... you have still become like a person. A wise person, yes, and powerful--but a person nonetheless. Just like everyone else, your experiences shaped you, molded you, and broke you. In the vast ocean of experience that is you, there have been so many things that have changed the way you are that one cannot tell who you will be in the next hundred years, millenia, eon, or eternity. Right now, though..." Fadran chooses one place of many in Nathrangking's Spirit. "Right now, you are Nathrangking. You have been Nathrangking for epochs, and will remain Nathrangking for many more. You are a member of our group--one friend among others. Here, you hope that we do not look to you as a sword or a shield, but as a person. As times and ages came and went, you have been regarded as a force; an unstoppable being beyond mortal comprehension. It is not the first time you have wished, even beyond your own consciousness, that you could be like everyone else."

Part of Fadran's mind turned to Icona as he said these words, remembering some of the times that Icona wished that he could be like the people he had strived so hard to protect. "You feel alone; trapped in a life you sometimes wish you never had. But you're not alone. There are those who know you are more than just an unstoppable force of anger and power. We will be here you for, and when ages have gone by and we are but memories, there will be others--there will always be people who know you, and trust you, and treat you not as a omnipotent god, but as an equal. When the collection of universes has been changed and we are forgotten, there will still be those who are there for you, to take you by the hand and lead you along not when you are powerless, but when you need to remember that you are more than a god; more than an everybody..."

Fadran pockets the note, one he decided then and there never to leave behind. "When you need to remember that you are a person."

"Well, I'm from Shadesmar, obviously.  I'm not sure where exactly." Kindness frowns pensively.  "I think I remember being happy, wherever I was."

I raise my mental walls. I feel the truth of Fadran's words. I can sense tears pouring down my face. I fall to my knees. A dam of emotion ruptures. Emotions long held in check are set free. My powers are tightly reigned in, but the air begins to cool nonetheless. I can no more banish these feelings than I can bring back those who have been lost. I can sense the other realms where I have ties. The realm where they are imprisoned trembles as the bonds holding them in weaken. In a flash I force myself to shut out my emotions. The tears are pushed down and I stand with the emotions suppressed. The air returns to normal and I allow no thought of that prison to wander.

I nod my head. My eyes are hard as I slam the gates shut. "There are reasons that I remain guarded. Let me show you something, Fadran, if you are willing.

Jeffery observed the interaction between Nath and Fadran with interest, scribbling down notes on his notepad.

His gaze wandered to Nya, who was watching the proceedings intently. Interesting, he thought, making a note of it. His eyes flicked between that and words written elsewhere as his mind whirred.

He drew a line between the two and drew a question mark above it. Definitely worth looking into further.

"Hello," Kindness says mildly awkwardly, because conversations are hard.  "Where are you from?"  She tries, cringing.  That was generic.

oh my gosh, today at work I asked how an older lady was doing, and she was like 'great! I just got back from my last family member's funeral, but it was very spiritual" and I was literally like "uh... that's good that you felt good?"  and we kinda awkwardly went our ways

*I just got back by the way

*I'm gonna go get something to eat, I haven't had anything since 9 except an orange vanilla coke

Ope! Not anymore, I just topped it off with some gummybears and a peanut chocolate granola bar mini

In a flash our spirits descend into the heart of my mindscape. It is a vast darkness leading to many constructs and realities. Only thick inky shadows can be seen. It is an unnaturally calm plane of existence. Behold, my mindscape. A construct where one can retreat in times of need. In time to come I can show you how to create one of your own. Instantly, we are transported to a different place. Thunderheads scream and lightning bolts clash. Deafening violence surrounds us. Hail stones rain down around us, but do not do us harm. Unnatural heat sears the air. Before us are a pair of heavy stone gates that hang in the air. Ancient runes in thousands of languages curve around the sides. Icy chains of jagged steel hold it fast. The chains are held by dozens of burning locks carved with spells.

These are the gates of Gareshusir. Beyond them are Monsters, Demons, Gods, and other malevolent forces. The worst were locked away so long ago I have forgotten. I keep them from destroying existence itself. In my moment of emotion the doors almost slammed open and let them out if even one were to escape I shudder to think what might result. This is why I must be guarded this is my burden. I wave my hand and we return. "Now you understand. So long as I bear this alone. My burden this will remain."

"Emotion isn't weakness." Fadran says. "There must be a way that you can both live a life you choose to live, and keep existence safe... you said that you alone guard it. Does that mean others can, too?"

"I have collected many."

"Would you care to tell me?"

"Of course. I have consumed only two, yet the emotion contained in each is amazing.
Anger.
Hate.
Regret.
Loneliness.
Despair.
Sorrow.
I must not admit, I can nowhere find strong enough Joy, Belonging, which is what I had expected to find. I suppose the dark emotions are more powerful."

"I see. But tell me, why do you not use them?"

"I... do not know. The second is a Humonculus. I realized so after consuming her. She is two people, a man and a woman. The woman harbors great emotion, but the man is just a waste of space.

The first I consumed, she is delusional. But every day, her regret, her hate grows. I do not know what she will become."

"Ah. I see."

A moment of silence.

"Would you care to stay the night, Winter?"

"I would be honored. Yami."

Fullmetal Alchemist is decent, although many, many anime have humonculi. (P.S. fate is better)

Kor is not (as the japanese term) an artificial person, or (the latin term) a small person, but a.. spiritually deformed person since birth, different than normal and somewhat supernatural, thus falling under the category 'humonculi'

P.S. I edited my earlier Winter post a bit, giving away a tad more information

Edit: OH HECK LiSA JUST RELEASED A NEW SONG, FOR ALL THOSE WHO KNOW HER

Spin looks at Kindness. "What if you get. . . eaten?"

"Like I said, it's a risk we have to take.  And Fadran said he wouldn't let me get eaten.  Plus, we have the god of war with us.  I'll probably be safe.  And if something does happen..." Kindness shrugs, a sad smile on her face.  "I've certainly had an amazing time with all of you."

Can someone give me a quick summary of everything of importance that's happened in the last 150 pages? The reason I haven't tried joining in the fellowship of the thing until now is 'cause I didn't have time to read all the background.

I feel like we should have a TL:DR doc or something

Ok, so most of the gang just got off a big adventure in a place called the Universe Hexagon. Important notes include picking up Nya the insect girl, our Truthwarcher ascending to two Shards, something about Vapor's parents or grandparents that I didn't really catch, and Jaxevist is a creepy superpowered dude who presumably is hunting us down. We just got to Roshar and some stuff happened, people came, and we got some character growth. I showed up, KyL showed up and then died to Winter, some crazy emotion stealer who we're now hunting down, at the same time as we're trying to find Kindness's lost memories. And apparently Nathrangking locked away a bunch of eldritch horrors with his mind, as well as a bunch of other Chekov's Guns that I'm sure will come up again, don't worry. (That reminds me, careful with your grammar or Condensation will *end* you)
