“Why would I?”

I figured out the shard isn’t blocked on my school iPads. I’m way more happy than I should be.

“Ummm, how long is the long story? And how did you get there? Did you see Vin or some other person?” Skye asks, shifting to crouch of the black glassy ground

"By a rough estimate, maybe 140 pages or so. I've met her, although I can't speak for anyone else here. I just got here myself. Most of us are from other worlds entirely, ones that don't follow the rules of Investiture"

Until I find a way to get Baalhan out which with the way things are going is doubtful I will reveal his many powers. Where to begin? Woth his inherent abilities? He is a master of every form of armed and unarmed combat, He can fly hence the wings on his back, he can increase or decrease his height at will, he is a master tactician, he can manipulate his mystical energies in any number of ways these include the manifestation of his blade, bow, and arrows, he is immensely strong, extremely agile for one his size, he is extremely durable such that no weapon of war can harm him, he knows thousands of languages, he can bless or curse with victory on the field of battle depending on worth, he can impart battlefield wisdom by way of a blessing, can access pocket dimensions within realms, is very wise. Non - inherent he knows legions of spells which he can cast to great effect.

What does he have that is powerful enough to take on Double-sharded Truth?

Jared's vision went black as he tumbled through the Void. Desperately he reached out, trying to grab hold of something, anything-

With a thunk, he manifested back into reality. He took a deep breath, thankful that this place- whatever it was- at least had oxygen.

As he began to look around, however, it seemed like there wasn't much else. Withered plants and dusty soil seemed to indicate that this was a world in the aftermath of a withergeist attack. With that in mind, he looked around warily, keeping his guard up in case any were still in the area.

It was then that he noticed the sword. The sword that had- somehow- resisted a direct attack from a Silent Blade. He picked it up to inspect it closer. Aside from the azure veins running through it - which, as far as he could tell, were for purely aesthetic effect -  the blade seemed to be a perfectly ordinary steel blade.

With curiosity - and, if he'd been honest with himself, a little bit of trepidation - he reached deeper inside to try and understand just what had made this blade so special.

Jared went down on one knee to think. The sword was clearly powerful. Legendary, even. Without it, his chances of catching up to his mother's murderer and successfully avenging her were, at best, improbable, but with it... well, it might even be likely. The sword tugged against him, pulled by another master, but that was no large matter- given time, he was sure he could wrest control away.

The problem was that it would take time. And while he waited, the only clue he had to the location of his sister- shadows, the only clue she was even still alive- was getting farther and farther away. He'd been searching so long on nothing more than a gut feeling- this was exactly what he'd been looking for. Exactly what he needed.

On the other hand, he'd also been given exactly what he needed to avenge his mother. The old man was weak- he'd needed the blade to stand up to Jared. And now Jared had it. If he waited, his mother's murderer would only grow stronger. Strike now, and he might be able to take the man down once and for all.

It was a tempting thought, but unfortunately unrealistic. Undoubtedly the old man had already found a new nexus of power, or would have by the time Jared caught up to him. Even a legendary sword would do him little good if that was case, not without access to the full extent of its capabilities.

Fight the battles you can win, whispered a voice in Jared's mind.

He looked at the sword and sighed. Reluctantly he loosened his grip on it, allowing it to return to its rightful owner.

You may be getting off easy now, but I'm not done with you yet, grandfather, he thought fiercely. You'll get what's coming to you eventually.

Nya stared off into the endless twilight, feeling very alone in the semi-darkness. Most of the rest of the party had gone to sleep already. She probably should, too- but Hyxali didn't need as much sleep as humans, especially not when the humans in question had been as busy as these humans seemed to be.

She still could barely believe she'd been dragged along with them. It had all happened so fast- they'd been watching the duel, and then suddenly they were being attacked by Jaxevist, and teleported places, and then someone was yelling to get in the spaceship, and then- well, she supposed they weren't in Universe Hexagon anymore.

She didn't have any way to get back home. Somehow, she felt like that should have bothered her more. She should feel panicked, or sad, or frightened. Right now, though, she mostly just felt lost. Nobody had really said anything to her so far- mostly, they didn't seem to notice her. She could vanish, and nobody would notice.

She heard a scary-sounding sound echo across the glass sea and shivered, trying to put the thought out of her head.

Divine spells, curses, and energy manipulation is not sufficient? He has major spell power I'm sure that the right curse could bring even a dual shard to its knees.

No specifics? Alright, I'll just make something up.

Aons pop around Balhaan and Aridith, binding them, attacking them, breaking their power.

Balhaan begins to speak in a bland voice as Aridith commands him to cast spells of shattering, destroying each Aon in repeated waves of destruction.

Fast, thought Aridith, but not fast enough.

As the two powers clashed, he had Baalhan begin preparing a bigger spell for an overwhelming attack. The best defense was a good offense, after all.

"Oh, it's you," she said in a relieved voice when she saw who it was. "No, not really. Hyxali don't need as much sleep as humans do."

"I'm just thinking that there's probably a lot on your mind right now; rest might do you well." He hesitates. "Unless you would like to talk about it."

"Oh..." said Nya, fidgeting with her antennae. "I don't know." She sighed. "I feel fine, but... well..." She blushed. "This is gonna sound stupid, but... I feel scared of not being scared."

Vale looks like he's going to comment on your conversation (and also your shameless distortion of the space-time continuum) but thinks better if it.

"So we're just outside the Reshi isles. Does that give us a way to get to another planet?"

"I'm not sure. which planet do you wanna go to? I happen to be a elsecaller, so I might be able to help. I'm not going to Threnody, Sec, or First of the Sun without good reason though, the cognitive realm there is wacky."

"well, scadrial would be easiest for me, and I've been there before. why does Enter wanna go to Sel? its much easier to get there via physical realm."

"The most important thing to know about yourself, is that you know basically nothing about yourself." Fadran replies. "People are so layered and confusing; no one is just one trait, just one talent, or just one personality."
