What's the deal with Hoid and instant noodles?

Brandon Sanderson

...He likes his ramen, right? Like any sane person, he likes his instant noodles. Nothing more than that.

Questioner

...Has he ever had instant noodles?

Brandon Sanderson

Yeah, he's had instant noodles before. They have them on Taldain, yeah.

If you were going to live in one of your worlds, which one would it be?

Brandon Sanderson

Good question, I would live on Scadrial because they are the closest to the Internet and instant noodles.

Depends on when.  Also Taldain is hard to get to.

This is interesting to think about... if White Sand is the first book chronologically then they don't have noodles there yet. And as of Mistborn Era 2 they don't have them there either... so Hoid is on Taldain after Era 2. Therefore something important is happening there.

White Sand Era 2 confirmed! :P

We know that already because Autonomy closed the perpendicularity.  Also they could have regressed from noodles to no noodles(the only too stages of society that matter).

Quote
To use one's own intelligence and intellectual ability; to think logically and rationally. ("Noodle" here is slang for head or brain. Often said as an imperative.)

So to loose one's noodle is to loose ones head.
