Starting this next days massive dialogue round. I’m gonna have to go…everywhere I’ve been oh boy.

Oscar just told me he got Arc tickets for his extra bread he puts in this gals order every morning. This gal is clearly Ilya lol

Isn’t Randy’s love interest Mirllie? I remember someone being mentioned in CS but it’s kinda a quick thing iirc.

This state wide dialogue rounds eat lots and lots of time.. I have to take breaks.

Im about to throw my joycons. I have to catch 5 eels for Shashann and it’s not going well at all. I can’t see myself getting bogged down with the mechanics of this one fishing wise like CS3&4 did. 
 

This is straight frustrating..

omg I’m so pissed off..I caught 1 eel my 1st cast and all this time has passed since then it’s only been a A Carp or a miss. Like wth this is beyond dumb. And I have to bring eel if I want the +5 bonus. Not doing so will see me not get top marks alone.. ugh I don’t want to do this for hours or god help me days trying for 4 more…

omGOD! It’s been an hour and still only 1 eel!! I somehow got an eel last chapter I see so thankfully I only need 3 more..this should not be this hard! Am I missing something? I have to have that 5 dp.. this is turning into the hardest quest of the game for me.

bruhhh 2 1/2 hours later I’m 1 eel away from being done with this nightmare quest!

Holy crap man that took me 2hrs and 41 minutes to get lucky enough to catch 5 eels..

By far that was the worst and hardest quest of this game. I’m so pissed off I need to recharge my Crossbell battery for a while so the Switch is OFF for now. NOT COOL!

Supposedly, which fishing rod you use, which bait, and which fishing spot you choose, all play into the odds of any specific thing biting. Which is of course either trial and error or guide territory. At that point no shame in going for the guide. Though even with all the best conditions met it's still rng.

Coming out of Geofront after talking to Jona. He has pointed me to

Yin in the tower. I’m quite excited to see it again. Wish they had breakables though. The glowies they do have are really hard to spot for me especially when I’m in turbo mode.

 

Before I do that it’s dialogue round time. Got to appreciate the world building in these games even though some of these rounds drive me nuts to do.

And ch 2 is finished.

that was quite fun. I said it last chapter but the whole detective angle for Lloyd is pretty great to play out. I knew Ernest was going to be trouble the moment the guys commented on his physically toned body and Elie went on about him. I’m excited about Mariabell. The Arc sequence was better than CS4’s diversion play. Ch 2 highlights even more how truly fragile/sick Crossbell is. This state is cracked glass just waiting to be shattered.

im not sure that CS2 onwards ever mentioned she was from the East? Once the sword came out though I was like ok i recognize that. When you said I’ve seen them before in CS I was more thinking Yin would turn out to be Campanella. He’s kinda girly.. Hopefully I get to play her in this game though there is only my party on the cover tab. I can’t wait to find out more about her in time.

 

Going backwards seemed icky but I stuck with the reco instead of going with Reverie and I’m so glad I did. Getting the full story on this arc is working for me. Man I can’t wait until I see that tree from this side!!

They mentioned in CS2 that she worked with Cao, so the Eastern connection is implied there. Though I don't think she ever appears in CS after 2.

And yeah, not Campanella. He's been in the series since Sky as just himself. A little weirdo

I let the scenes of opening of ch 3 play out and I’m…truly terrified of the dialogue rounds in store for me with the extra characters surly to be in town.

what faction does he belong to? I remember Rean figuring out something about him but I can’t remember what it was now. Felt like it was some kind of faction that hasn’t appeared yet.

Awwww I just ran into Ricky and Anton! Wasn’t expecting that pair in CB!

Reins is related to Sky characters that have yet to appear outside of Sky. He's from a private intelligence company that's run by one of the characters from Sky. I.... don't remember Rean figuring out where he's from

And yeah, Anton is a LONG runner. He's in nearly every game.

Ok if it was Sky stuff that would explain the feeling since I’ve yet to do that. It’s a scene I knew I should have rewatched but didn’t for some reason or other.

Id just like to take a moment and say how impressed I am with the cars in CB. They are more expressive than CS. I’ve seen station wagons and even cars with flames painted on. Hell the Mayor’s limousine even has neon wheel wells. I don’t recall seeing anything like this in CS.

Bennet has a particularly attractive item for sale but it’s expensive at 2k each. Still 2k hp and stat cures. Is this only sold during the festival?? I bought 11 of them.

Went ahead and bought an Evergreen and Deep Ochre. Will probably buy 2 more soon or 2 more accessories anyway for the gals.

I’m rolling in Mira so spent tons of it getting those accessories.

Im as pissed off as the CB citizens with all these tourists. These dialogue rounds are insane with them here.. all day I’ve been chipping away at this. 
 

Just finished my last quest. I’m beat! Got 61 hours clocked.. just met Sully!

I don’t think I can take all of Graces pics just yet. Will have to look into that.

This kid in downtown is obsessive compulsive with this corner and I made his job harder with yesterdays race..

Guess I ll just buy a few more of Bennetts bread just incase its only for the festival..

Will likely play more tonight but as I said I’m beat.. been playing since I got up off and on today. I just want this festival arc to end already. It’s a lot..

Not much progress at all. In the midst of the next dialogue round and I just have to get in a little recharge time. Hopefully by tomorrow I ll be able to get back in. This chapter can’t end soon enough imo and I still have another “day” left after finishing this one. Go home you rusting tourist!

Not taking much time here. Ambien time early. Finished ancient battlefield and pic taking for Grace. The parade finished without me and now a reset dialogue round is in progress (will not knock this out tonight) can’t wait for this city to be tourist free…

Guide has a fishing wrap up. This seems extremely early in the game but maybe it’s not as large as I thought it would be and I’m close to finishing? Or they just figured out it could be done with the items and listed the option asap. So I’m going to try it without popping my top.. that eel bs has me leary but here goes…

Ive yet to run across any droplets. Not expecting to but I’d be nice.

Wow that fishing wrap up was….so easy compared to the pure hell of trying to catch x amount of eels.

Finally on the last day of this draining chapter.. I’m both curious and terrified of adding that new place to my dialogue round locations. It’s probably gonna have to wait to start chipping away at until tomorrow. Switch isn’t off yet but I’ll be surprised if it’s went back to before it shuts off on its own. I’ve got to get my truck battery replaced and oil and tire rotation done and my own battery is low with this festival crowd. The music is nice though. Doota do ta do ta, dodah do ta do

Hmm so Kilika and Lynn know each other from back in the day. I hope to find out more about these gals along with the other one who hugs Tio. I do not remember these people appearing or being mentioned in CS. Wendel and Scott perhaps were?

Randy just mentioned Taito in discussions about Kilika.
