Non-Recreance Shardblades

So it's been pretty clear that a majority of KRs abandoned their oaths in the Recreance which killed their spren and left shardplades and shardplate.  I wonder if any individual Knight before that had ever abondaned his/her oaths and left a dead spren shardblade.

There's a WoB that it was very very rare before the Recreance. So presumably, it did happen a time or two. I'm trying to find it but failing, today...

This is something that has never happened on Roshar yet. Now they didn't have many opportunities for it to happen in the past, because it was rare for a Radiant to break their oaths. It is not something that's happened and the spren think it's impossible.

I would say that it is becoming possible for shardblades to come back to life. For example:

I think it was always theoretically possible, it's just that it's very difficult and the right circunstances hadn't happened.
