Kay, this is a pretty out-there idea, but it's fun to think about. Yesterday, my friend and I were talking about what superpowers we might like to have. I thought about some pretty fun ones like teleportation, flight, and time-travel, but then I started thinking about books. I've always wanted to meet the characters I read about. But would I rather go into the book or... pull them out of the story? I played with this idea in my mind for a while and I determined that worlds like Scadrial wouldn't be the best to actually enter if you didn't know what you were doing. So I'd like to pull characters right off the page.

Here's where it gets interesting. Obviously, logic is already screwed if I have that ability, but let's say I did have that power. At what point would I pull them out of their world? Could I... save people? I'd really like to get Marsh out of there the moment before he was spiked.

Let's disregard what would happen to the storyline if a character was removed - if you guys had the opportunity, who would you save from what?

Do shards count? Because if they do, if I could somehow pull Aoni of Skai before they were splintered, perhaps I could restore some measure of balance to the Cosmere, and introduce a shard to this world, and give everybody magic powers!

Hoid. Can you imagine how much fun it would be to set that guy up in a political campaign? Or op eds?

I wonder how he would feel about Earth... :P Good luck getting off world, Cephi.

One thing @Little Bear and I thought of, was that it'd be really funny to pull Kelsier the moment before TLR killed him.

How would he feel about earth? Let's see...a world full of people who don't think magic exists, with a readily available system in which you can be virtually anyone at any given time without anyone the wiser and without actually leaving where you currently are? He'd love it.

That would be hilarious. Also would probably bamboozle TLR and galvanize the skaa still, since it would look like he'd been raptured.

Kelsier pops onto Earth. "Am I dead? I think I'm dead. That was surprisingly anti-climactic. And this is... not the afterlife I expected."

I think the go-to answer would be Kelsier. However, his death inspired hope into others and if he was "saved" how do we know that the plan would succeed? I don't think there was any other way.

I'd pull out Elhokar, I think he was killed at the wrong moment just before he reached his true potential.

I’d pull Amaram out before he eats an Unmade and give him some fishsticks instead. That would do wonders for him I think.

You could give him them after as well.

He'd throw that Unmade right up :P

Unlike Alcatraz and you people, I love fish sticks.

The Emperor knows what he is talking about.

Fish sticks are good when done right. Otherwise they can be really bad. Just ask my old middle school about bad fish sticks, they're experts.

Fishsticks are great when you do them in a pan, or in the oven, or in the microweave (is that the correct name for it?).

You can put them on pizza too.

As would a nice chunk of francium. Because with Francium, you get a show, too.

Well when you put it that way it may be less than pleasant for dearest Meridas.
