Jurgen muttered.

Jurgen muttered. "Fine. I shall go." Janim sighed. This is why they didn't interact with people beyond saving them. They returned to human form, tired of having four legs.
+ZincAboutIt she/her Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 Aldred kept walking and rolled his eyes. "Swim in the canal, for all I care," he said, leading them up a winding street towards a large, cheerful tavern overlooking one of the smaller canals. It wasn't the best part of town, but it was far from the worst either. A jaunty half-circle swung from the eaves, and it looked as though the patio was fairly empty. Lucky, that, Aldred thought, looking back at the group. One of them had shifted shapes; Aldred thought it might have been the surly one complaining about music. "Alright," he said, stopping outside. "I know the barmaid here, so no one kill anyone in there or it'll be me barred for life. Bear," he pointed at the large bear, "it'd be best if you went through this entrance." Aldred rapped on a wooden picket fence surrounding the outdoor seating. "I'll go tell Liezl she's got a large party. If we're lucky, it might be late enough in the season that she's uncorked the mead."
+Sorana she/her Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Amara followed Mutig and Jürgen overhelmed by the many new faces. The city was ... strange. She made sure to keep closer to those she knew and kept her smile. Maybe it was good. At least the other seemed to know their way around here. Quote Sry that's too fast for me right now.
Steel Inquisitive he/him Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Jurgen sat down, leaning back casually. "So," he said to the wolf-man, "what's your thing?" @Vargo Seldon
+ZincAboutIt she/her Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 (edited) As the party filtered in, a young boy slipped out the front entrance and ran back down to the main square near Tradesman's Gate. "Hot food and good ale at the Half Moon Tavern!' he called, jamming a red floppy cap adorned with a ridiculously tall feather onto his head. He ran all over the square, drumming up business. If be brought in a good dozen patrons, Mistress Liezl might even give him a toffee, and Fritz did ever-so love toffee. He passed a woman with a flower growing out of her head walking with a large wolf. "Half Moon Tavern, open to all for the census!" he called. "Just up the Wein Canal, on your right! Food and drink for all!" Fritz smiled, thinking of toffee, and sprinted down a side street, calling all the while. @kenod @ShadowLord_Lith Quote My last post of the evening. Chasmfiend#1 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Mutig sat quietly, munching on the food he got, eyeing the tall mug a maid had set next to him. She said it was a root based drink, so maybe it won't be so bad. He began listening to the music, the conversations, and began pondering how to drink from his mug.

Steel Inquisitive he/him Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Jürgen watched the bear with amusement. I wonder how much that will cost and who's going to pay. He thought, smiling to himself.
+ZincAboutIt she/her Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 "A bear, Aldred?" Liezl was much as Aldred remembered her, a Kurian down to her bones with a bright sheaf of honey-blonde hair and golden tan skin. The scowl she fixed him with was also familiar. Aldred grinned at her. "I told you the next time I was in town I'd bring you something special." Liezl rolled her blue eyes, but couldn't quite keep a smile off her lips. "Five years it's been, and now you come tromping in leading a blighted circus through my pub? If that beast so much as scratches the paint on my walls..." "Yes, yes, I know, barred for life," Aldred waved a hand through the air. Liezl raised a brow at him. "Barred for life? More like behind bars for life. I own this place now, you wild rover, and I won't hesitate to call in the city guard if I need to." "My Liezl, a tavern owner," Aldred mused, catching a strand of her hair between his fingers. "You've come quite a ways from pulling pints and sleeping behind the woodstove, eh?" Liezl batted his hand away. "I never slept behind the woodstove you cheeky rogue, as you well know." Aldred winked at her. "Indeed I do. Speaking of, might you know where a tired Sayer could lay his head this evening?" "If you want a room, you'll pay good carats for it," Liezl said, waving the barmaid over. The young woman looked harried, having just filled a punch bowl full of root draught for the bear outside. "Greta, this is Aldred," Liezl said, pointing at him. "If any one of that party starts a fight, he is the one responsible." Aldred put on his most charming smile for Greta, who had quite excellent taste in hair ribbons and blushed rather prettily. "Oh my dear Greta," he said, "I'm very responsible." Liezl snorted and headed towards the tavern's back room. "I mean it Aldred, don't ruin my pub!" "A pint of mead, if you've uncorked it Greta love," Aldred said to the serving girl. "Just bring it outside." With that, he strode back out into the spring sunshine and wedged himself beside the hunter at the edge of the table.

A drunken bear would probably fall asleep, but that was another story. Jürgen was already watching Mutig, so maybe the maid was right and they expected him to qreck the bar. "Do you know Jürgen?" She asked, remembering when Jürgen had talked to the bear about someone. @Chasmfiend#1

kenod Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Lilia walked through the streets, returning from the census building. She giggled as she thought back to what had happened: Lilia walked up to the desk, the scribe looking up at her. "Spirit?" He asked. "Name, abilities and region of residence please." Lilia tilted her head. "I'm not a spirit," she answered, "though I guess dad might have been one? As for my abilities, I can see spirits, and talk to them, even when others can't." The man gazed at her for a bit. "I see," he said at last. "In that case, I'd like your name and living area, as well as any special abilities you might have." "My name is Lilia Blumenkind," she said. "I don't really live anywhere, I just wander around a bit. As for other abilities..." She paused for a bit. "Well, I'm not sure how special it is, but I'm somewhat decent at fleshcrafting, though I guess you already saw that." The man groaned, wondering why he was getting all the weird ones. "Alright," he said, "Lilia Blumenkind, wanderer, Spirit Descendant, Capable of perceiving spirits and a Fleshcrafter." He handed her the money, hoping that the next person was a bit more normal. Of course, after that came Chadwick's turn... Suddenly, a voice pulled her out of her thoughts, yelling about an inn. She looked at Chadwick. "Want to go there?" she asked. "I mean, we've got to use this money somehow." @Turtle373
