Jarias sat in the seat of this strange train, worrying. He had his sword out and was wiping it with clean rag- back and forth, back and forth- a nervous tic of his.
He shouldn't be here. This was the old world- demigod. He had heard of the legendary exploits of the Argo II through the Mediterranean, and the stories of the many, many, many dangerous monsters they encountered. Granted, this was England, which was far from the heartlands of Rome and Greece, but still. 
And then there was these wizards. 
Romans? Those made sense. They were similar enough  to the greek gods and it had a certain logic to it with the center of western civilization and all. 
But wizards? How did they fit in with all of this? From the explanation they got, they weren't associated with any sort of gods. There was some sort of explanation, surely.
His rapier was already perfectly clean, but he continued wiping.
Where was this school? From what he had heard, it sounded like it was a proper school with classrooms and teachers, unlike the summer camp that was Camp Half-Blood. Was it close 
Why were we here anyway? What went wrong- after all, that's the only reason we'd travel here is if something went wrong. Very wrong. 
Hey, where are the other dem-
The door suddenly opened, and a blonde, round face girl walked in. He recognized her from earlier- she was one of the others who joined into this strange expedition.
"Hey. "I'm Zoe. From the camp. The one with the plants." She says.
"Oh, uh, hi Zoe. Um, not to be rude, but can you be a little bit more specific then 'The one with the plants?'"
He looks down at the long rapier that was blocking her seat. 
"Oh! Sorry," he says as his face goes red. He sheathes the sword in it's scabbard, which was sitting next to him.

Powers: Very mechanically minded and talented with potions and wand studies, enjoys making magical trinkets, like enchanted glasses and mirrors. Child of Hephaestus, and would be muggle-born if his dad had been human. 

Wand: 10" Walnut, Unicorn hair core. Shaped like a unicorn horn with a smooth handle.

House: Ravenclaw (has extremely strong Hufflepuff tendencies, though)

Backstory: Grew up going to Ilvermorny in America, enjoying life there and ignoring the odd Greek and Roman 'cosplays' he saw going on with other American kids he saw, and the odd monster or two that school didn't explain. When he got the chance to visit Hogwarts as an exchange student, he jumped at the opportunity, excited to experience the difference between the two schools. He got his first personal wand shortly after arriving in London, after a visit to Olivanders. Gets sorted with the first years on personal request in order to 'get the full experience'.

Other: He loves to tinker around, but his distracted nature means he generally has two or three- or ten- projects going at once, which leads to a chaotic, if somewhat haphazardly organized, workspace. He is far too trusting, and tends to see the absolute best in people, even if they don't deserve it. It's hard to make him not give you a second chance. Or a third. Or a seventh... he's very forgiving- which is to his detriment, most times. 

Okay. Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions on how to bring him in?
