SwordNimiForPresident the sword/that sword Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 If we're looking for minor traumas I think the best place would be Shallan's squires.

Depends on how you define minor. Gaz is minus an eye and terrified constantly of it. Vathah feels like he's worthless all the time and has many many regrets over the things he's done.

All good points, especially since my money is on Malata getting knocked off by someone. Personally, I think Malata is really interesting. If I wrote SA, she’d get the Dustbringer book instead of Shalash. That’s mainly because I think it’s stupid for Heralds to get flashback books, though I’ll probably change my mind once we reach one of them. EDIT: Also, I really like Gaz and Vathah. Fair enough, but I personally just want her to get offed by Kaladin after she destroys the wrong thing. Quote PLease! She seems really fishy and sketchy to me. At the rate the Diagram is going, she’ll probably die a (supposedly) deserved death after working against the heroes or whatever. Personally, I’d find that really boring if Brandon did that. I hate it when the villains die in movies and everyone’s like “yay!” Especially when they get “what they deserved.” Like, no, no one deserves to get eaten alive by a terrifying dinosaur. I’m looking at you, Jurassic Park/World.

She follows her order too literally, destroy. I have a feeling she may have a corrupted Spren. or even a voidspren

She just doesn’t want to be associated with the Knights Radiant because she saw what it did to all of her friends the last time around. Personally, I think it’d be really cool if Malata and Spark see Odium destroy some spren and then realize that they really should be working against Odium as much as possible.

Only then maybe I'l consider her a likeable character

Immortal characters are cool, but I don’t like being inside their heads.

I find that half of the fun in fantasy books is learning about the universe with the characters rather than just knowing it all up front. Edited January 7, 2019 by SwordNimiForPresident

It’s only a question if, since the Oathpact is so weak, if they’d get new bodies Just now, SwordNimiForPresident said: I think that's why he avoids giving us to much Hoid PoV. Sherlock Holmes he/him Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 I’d just like to add my voice to the previously-discussed Gaz/Vathah thing. I also love them. If only because of the Gaz Redemption comic.

Yeah I never really hated Gaz, he was just doing his duty but he did feel bad for all the man he had to send out to die, so maybe that is what allow him to possibly be a squire. As for Vathah, he deserted. I wonder what for
