The waver in front of the cell stopped with a red pulse. The cell had defenses against any way of getting in. Any.

So you could stop a gateway from opening?

Yes. The only way in is physical travel, and then it has automated defenses that would likely kill you.

The only known way to prevent a gatway from being opened somewhere is by an exeptionally rare ter'angreal. Even then, the range in which the ter'angreal's gateway block ability functions is quite large.

(Correct me if I'm wrong about the Dreamspike being a ter'angreal

These kinds of things should really be justified, especially for a particularly new organization and given the efforts that are being made recently to reduce power level.
Resource creep is just as big a problem, especially recently.

Uh... No matter how powerful it is, no technology could stop a shardblade.

 Heavily invested stuff can, but that's it.

Also, godmodding.

Quote

Yeah, that's what power armor... is. Shardplate. Y'all talked about that earlier, remember?

As for godmodding: A little bit of godmodding is necessary to move things along. I don't think reacting to your attack is unreasonable, no?

Good thing I have TELEPORTATION THROUGH THE SPIRITUAL REALM! BWAHAHA!

The air stilled in front of the cell. Then, further down the hallway, reality ripped in two as a Space Marine stepped out of a writhing mass of Investiture. The Space Marine shook off the glowing tendrils, and started stomping towards the cell door.

We said it is as strong as shardplate. Not is shardplate.

A man, small, almost scrawny, and more so compared to the marines, stepped out of the shadows.. He had a dark look in his pale grey eyes. "Stand back."

This doesn't exist. WoT is a softer magic system so I think some creative license is to be expected but if this was even vaguely possible it would have come up in the books.

Well, that means you can literally kill anyone, and we can't stop it. Because Gateways kill.

Alternatively, a field that sucks in all forms of energy, making it so that all weaving/elsecalling/epic powers would be canceled.

And how would you gain a weave like that. You would need an exceptionally powerful channeler to pull that off, one who likely was born in the AoL, which narrows it down to 14. The Forsaken and Rand, who all would be amazingly hard to find and recruit.

One of the reasons we're adjusting power levels next era, yeah. But you'd need to know exactly where someone was and raise it up before they can move and hope they don't have healing. Plenty of Epics are just as bad or worse.

Composed of what and how was it acquired and why doesn't everyone have one of these if they're possible?

Sorry for being nitpicky here but these are pretty huge additions to lore to just casually throw in.

Again, if you can't block it, it should be banned, because it is completely unfair.

Next era is too far away if someone is going to do that crap.

I will say that this is also probably impossible. There's literally no known way to do it and I think it'd be a mistake to introduce a non-canonical way to do so.

Wasn't there a WOB that said Oathgates might be Spiritual travel?

I think there was a question about it that was essentially RAFO'd / 'I still have to figure out how it'll work so I don't have an answer right now'

Spark squadron, Redken, Thel, Walker's elites, Melody, and KoTeil were all on board, Walker hit the engines, tapped his steel mind and rocket up the tower. Everyone inside was thrown backwards, and then they had landed. Walker got out of the cockpit and the Sentinels, Redken and Thel got out of the hold. A chaos marine charged at them and swung a chain sword at Thel. He caught it and the sword broke up, and as thel sent an overload charge down the sword to cause ti to explode. The marine tried to punch him, but he caught the fist, and overloaded his armor. A metal cylinder formed in his hand and a glowing red blade sprouted from it. He rammed it through the chest of the marine. By this time Walker was out, and the group was ready, They were also noticed by everyone the top of tower. The street gang alliance charged.

@Grey Knight

The berserkers charged through swaths of thieves and criminals, slaughtering them all. A driller crashed out of the wall and fell into the front line crushing a lot of them. The Hacker Gang charged at them and started brutally hacking at the berserkers. Capones men got behind the Hacker gang and started throwing grenades, and shooting at the joints of the Berserkers. The army started doing the same to the hackers.

Melody hops down, he had been right, only a second. She then reaches out to the enemies, closing her eyes in concentration, trusting her teenage to protect me, and She create sound voids around the enemies.

As the Chais marines and thrives closed in on the group spark squadron raised their weapons, Thel formed another blade, Redken formed his shard blade, and plate, and Walker’s elites raised their weapons. The thieves raised their weapons. Everyone started shooting.

@kenod @Blessing of Potency @Dr. Dapper

The attacking army pushed through the wave after wave of Hackers. So far no one of real consequence had Reid to stop them. The thieves did not have the right kind of weapons to fight them, and no chaos marines had really gotten in their way. The Jackal stood directly in front of them. His sniper took a shot at one of the berskers, and the shot proceed it’s head armor. Then it exploded. The jackal charged at the front line, and slashed his way through with his staff, cutting off limbs, and slicing them down the middle. Capone’s men and the remaining hackers fell in behind him as he charged through the horde to the riot soldiers. Street gang Allaince members, drug enforcers, and hundreds of other small groups hit back at the edge, pushing the Berserkers back. Then the Network sent their Black Guard into the mix, and they slaughtered any berserkers who got in their way, their black shardplate glimmering in the light of the tower, and their shardblades quite nearlybunhindered by the Berserkers armor.

Quote

The Network is the largest smuggling empire in existence. They have over a hundred men in he Citadel, and that city as been their for a few weeks. The Black Guard are 400 elite soldiers who all have full shardplate shard blade combo. None are radiants, but most have killed one. If anyone is thinking that they’re overpowered, I literally lead the opposing army, and I made them up.

Side note: Ark, can I just fight myself here? I’m asking if I can use the Haos marines in battle, because even 400 elite shardplate wielding death machines will lose a lot of men against berserkers.

NOTE: Bolter rounds will kill berserker fairly quickly because of the explosive nature of hem. Get two or three in the torso, and their down for the count.

@Ark1002

The Climbers that has been stalking up the side of the spire reached the top. A thief looked over and saw a wolf thing with a machine gun coming out of it’s mouth.

”What the-“ He said be for being cut down by a bolt of Plasma. More came over the edge and the criminals looked over before being cut down. The climbers ran at them, lunges and slashed them with their claws, and cut swathes of their men away. The hundreds of Cimbers charged through the street thugs, and twenty went on a run through the guys sorroundung the advance squad, dropping grenades, and slashing at men. No one in the Den army had any idea what was going on.

Here's my reasoning:

  1. In Warhammer 40k, teleportation is a (albeit dangerous and rare) thing
  2. You teleport by locking two locations together, then hurling your teleport-ee through the Warp to that location
  3. The Warp is a metaphysical plane that reflects the souls and emotions of sentient beings
  4. "... the Spiritual Realm is the realm of existence in the cosmere that contains the essence or soul of things. On this Realm, the interconnection between objects, people, and ideals are made apparent."
  5. Ergo, if the Spiritual Realm can be compared to the Warp, then the same 40k technology can be used to teleport through the Spiritual.

Of course, if y'all disagree, I'm fine to stop using it. I've got other ways to get my terminators into position ;)

Dwig dropped nail below him and Pushed, shooting up into the air. He drew his rifle and took a shot at Walker before flipping to full automatic and firing at the Cilmbers coming over the side of the tower.

"Hey you, Choas Marines!" he yelled "Let the thieves take care of that squad. We've got bigger problems!" he pointed at the Climbers flooding onto the rooftop.

Some of the marines began to react, firing at the Climbers among their ranks, but the rest were getting overwhelmed.

A huge brute of a marine, at least ten feet, lumbered out. He had huge blasters in each hand, and he fired at will. He was a special breed. Huge. As he killed the Climbers, he realized he needed a better solution. He clicked his comm, and spoke into it. A second later he appeared in the Cognitive Realm, along with the swarm of Climbers. "COME AND GET ME!" He fired in a circular motion as they flooded towards him.

I think just using the Warp still is easier. Having access to the Spiritual realm has a lot of other awkward implications.
